Good intense massager
Purchased this massager last month and have used it a few times. Was a bit skeptical about the battery life as it said 3-4 hrs of battery life but to my surprise it lasts that long. Also, the massager has different attachments and have tried all the attachments and happy with the outcome. Happy with this purchase and planning to buy if for parents too.

Not bad for the price !
Not bad for the price I paid for this massager. Battery life is good. Comfortable and quiet to use. Might feel a bit week if you are after heavy-duty massage.

At a glance
The Homedics Therapist Select Plus Percussion Massager is a mid-range cordless massage gun suited to home users, gym-goers and anyone wanting targeted muscle relief after exercise or long days on their feet. Its strengths are quiet operation, simple touchscreen control, useful attachments and up to 4 hours of runtime. One limitation is that it offers 4 speed levels, so adjustment is less granular than some premium recovery devices.

- Muscle soreness relief
- Targeted tension release
- Home wellness routines
- General deep muscle massage
Where it works best
- Home gym
- Living room

Who it’s for

- Home user
- Weekend athlete
- People with everyday muscle tension
Things to consider
It is well equipped for everyday recovery, but premium massage guns often offer more speed increments, app connectivity or a broader attachment range for highly tailored treatment.
Muscle relief effectiveness
8/10 - strong percussion output and targeted heads make it effective for general soreness and tension relief.
Ease of use score
9/10 - simple touchscreen controls, cordless operation and ergonomic grip make it beginner-friendly.
Portability rating
8/10 - at 1.76 kg with a cordless build and storage case, it is portable though not ultra-light.
Noise level vs category average
Quieter than many percussion massagers in its class
Family suitability
Suitable for shared adult household use thanks to easy controls and multiple attachments, but intensity may be too firm for users wanting a very gentle massage.
Key benefits
- High-Torque Motor: Delivers strong percussive action to help work into sore muscles and tight areas.
- 4 Intensity Levels: Lets you choose from 2200 to 3000 RPM for lighter recovery sessions or firmer muscle treatment.
- LCD Touchscreen: Makes changing massage intensity quick and straightforward during use.
- Ergonomic Rubber Grip: Helps provide a steadier, more comfortable hold while targeting different muscle groups.
- Targeted Attachments: Includes wedge, trigger point and ball heads to better match broad muscle areas or focused pressure points.
- Cordless Design: Makes it easier to use around the home, at the gym or away from a power point.
- Up to 4 Hours Runtime: Supports multiple sessions on a single charge before needing to be recharged.
- Storage Case Included: Helps keep the massager and attachments organised for transport or storage.
Q: Is this massager too heavy for one-handed use?
A: The Homedics Therapist Select Plus weighs 1.76kg, so it is manageable for short one-handed sessions but not especially light. The rubber grip helps with control, though longer use can feel substantial if you prefer a smaller device.
Q: How long does the battery last between charges?
A: Battery runtime is up to 4 hours per charge, depending on the intensity level used. That suits several short sessions before recharging, but higher settings will use power faster and it is not aimed at all-day continuous use.
Q: What massage heads are included with the PGM-745-AU?
A: The Homedics Therapist Select Plus includes wedge, trigger point and ball heads. Those shapes give you a mix of broader contact and more precise contact, so it is better suited to different areas than a single fixed-head design.
Q: Is four speed levels enough for everyday home use?
A: Yes. The 4 intensity levels span 2200 to 3000 RPM, which gives a useful range for everyday home use without making setup complicated. The trade-off is less fine adjustment than models with more speed steps.
Q: Can you travel with this Homedics percussion massager?
A: Yes. The cordless design and included storage case make it practical to pack for the gym, office or trips away. At 1.76kg it is portable rather than ultra-light, so it takes more bag space than smaller travel-focused models.
Q: Does the touchscreen help when changing speed mid-session?
A: Yes. The LCD touchscreen lets you move between the 4 intensity levels with a tap instead of stopping to adjust a dial. That is convenient when switching areas, though touch controls are less tactile than physical buttons.
