Worth buying it. Good guys made the experience even more pleasant
We bought this from good guys after an earlier purchase of back massager. This product is very useful for foot massaging. It covers the entire foot except for heel.

At a glance
The Homedics ModMassage Shiatsu Air Foot Massager with Heat is designed for people wanting convenient at-home foot relief after long days on their feet. It stands out with interchangeable massage nodes, adjustable intensity, air compression, vibration and heat for a more personalised experience. It suits regular home use well, but its corded, foot-focused design is less versatile than full-leg or professional massage systems.
What it’s great for
- Foot fatigue relief
- End-of-day relaxation
- At-home wellness routines
- Gentle circulation support
- Customised foot massage
Where it works best
- Home
- Bedroom
- Living room
- Wellness corner
Who it’s for
- People on their feet all day
- Home wellness users
- Adults seeking foot relaxation
- Users wanting adjustable massage intensity
Things to consider
It focuses on the feet only and uses corded power, so it is less portable and less comprehensive than premium calf-and-foot massagers or professional multi-area massage devices.
Muscle relief effectiveness
8/10 - Strong feature set for foot tension and fatigue relief with shiatsu, air compression, vibration and heat.
Ease of use score
9/10 - Simple toe-touch controls, adjustable intensity and washable liners make everyday use straightforward.
Portability rating
4/10 - Best kept in one place at home due to its corded design and foot-massager form factor.
Noise level vs category average
About average for a powered foot massager with shiatsu and air compression
Family suitability
Good for shared adult household use thanks to adjustable intensity and washable liners, though massage preferences will vary between users.
Key benefits
- Interchangeable massage nodes: Lets you personalise the feel of the massage to better match your comfort preference.
- Deep-kneading shiatsu massage: Targets foot pressure points to help ease tension and day-to-day foot fatigue.
- Air compression massage: Gently squeezes and releases the feet for a more relaxing, enveloping massage feel.
- Heel vibration: Adds extra stimulation around the heel area for a more complete foot massage experience.
- Soothing heat: Adds comforting warmth to support a more relaxing massage session.
- Adjustable intensity: Makes it easier to choose a massage strength that feels comfortable for different users.
- Removable washable liners: Helps keep the interior cleaner and fresher with easier ongoing maintenance.
- Toe-touch controls: Allows hands-free operation so you can change settings more conveniently while seated.
Q: Is this a dry foot massager or a water foot spa?
A: It is a dry foot massager. Homedics ModMassage uses shiatsu, air compression, heel vibration and heat, but it is not a foot bath and is not designed for water, oils, salts or soaking treatments.
Q: Does the Homedics ModMassage massage calves as well as feet?
A: No. Homedics ModMassage is built for feet only, with massage coverage focused from heel to toe inside the foot chambers. If you want calf coverage, this model does not extend above the feet.
Q: Can different people adjust the massage feel on this model?
A: Yes. Homedics ModMassage has adjustable intensity plus interchangeable massage nodes, so users can change both strength and feel. The washable liners also make it more practical for shared use in one household.
Q: Is this foot massager easy to move room to room?
A: It can be moved around the house, but it is better suited to one regular spot. Homedics ModMassage uses a corded power supply, so it is less convenient to carry from room to room than a smaller simple unit.
Q: Are the controls easy to use without bending down?
A: Yes. This model uses toe-touch controls, so settings can be changed with your foot during use instead of reaching down each time. That is more convenient in a lounge or bedroom where you are already seated back.
Q: How easy is the inside of the foot massager to clean?
A: The foot chambers use removable, washable liners, so the parts that contact your feet can be taken out for cleaning. That makes ongoing care simpler than fixed-fabric designs, especially in a shared home.
Q: Will this foot massager be noisy while it is running?
A: Motor noise is noticeable, which is typical for a model using shiatsu, air compression and vibration together. It is generally better suited to normal evening use than to a very quiet room where mechanical sound stands out.
