Q: Will this 60 litre SodaStream gas cylinder fit every SodaStream machine?
A: No. This 60 litre cylinder uses the pink Quick Connect fitting, so it only suits compatible Quick Connect SodaStream machines. It does not fit older models that use the blue screw-in cylinder, even though both are CO2 cylinders.
Q: What does 60 litres mean for this SodaStream gas cylinder in everyday use?
A: The 60 litre figure is a carbonation estimate, not the bottle size. In typical use, one full cylinder carbonates about 60 litres of water, but the total varies depending on bottle size and how fizzy each drink is made.
Q: Can this cylinder be exchanged if a machine already uses a pink SodaStream cylinder?
A: Yes. If the machine already takes the pink Quick Connect cylinder, this is the same cylinder format used for replacement or exchange. It is not interchangeable with the older blue screw-in style, so the fitting type matters.
Q: What is the difference between a SodaStream Quick Connect cylinder and the older screw-in type?
A: The difference is the valve connection. Quick Connect cylinders click into compatible machines without twisting, while older blue cylinders screw in by hand. The two systems are not cross-compatible, even though both provide CO2 for sparkling water.
Q: How long should a 60 litre SodaStream cylinder last before it needs replacing?
A: It typically lasts for around 60 one-litre bottles if carbonation is kept moderate. If stronger fizz is preferred or the bottle is re-carbonated more than once, the cylinder will empty sooner than the nominal 60 litre estimate.
