Xlnt quality.
Trusted brand. Tough casing with sliding connector for protection. I use it regularly and highly recommend it. I shop regularly at the Good Guys. They offer high end brands at the cheapest prices. Don't go anywhere else.

At a glance

It suits students, office users and anyone wanting an easy backup or transfer drive, with a retractable design and USB 3.0 read speeds up to 130MB/s. Student suitability score
9/10 - compact, affordable and well suited to assignments, presentations and everyday study files.
Ruggedness rating
5/10 - suitable for normal daily carrying, but not marketed as shockproof, waterproof or heavy-duty.
Keychain portability
Good portability for pockets and bags, though not specifically positioned as a rugged keyring-style drive.
File transfer speed vs category
7/10 - faster than basic USB 2.0 drives with up to 130MB/s read speed, but below higher-end performance USB drives.
Key benefits
- 32GB Capacity: Provides enough space for everyday documents, class materials, photos and music in one compact drive.
- USB 3.0 Interface: Supports read speeds up to 130MB/s for faster access to files than older USB 2.0-only drives.
- Backward Compatibility: Works with USB 2.0 ports, making it easier to use across older computers and devices.
- Retractable Connector: Protects the USB plug without needing a separate cap that can be lost.
- Compact Size: Small dimensions make it easy to carry in a pocket, pencil case or laptop bag.
- Lightweight Build: Easy to keep with you every day for quick file access between home, school and work.
- Black Finish: A simple, low-profile look that suits school, office and personal use.
- 5 Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Adds longer-term peace of mind for a regularly used portable storage device.
Q: Is the Sandisk 32GB Ultra USB Flash Drive a USB 3.0 drive, and will it still work in older USB 2.0 ports?
A: Yes. This Sandisk Ultra drive is designed for USB 3.0 use, but it is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports. It will still transfer files on older devices, though speeds will usually be lower than when connected to a USB 3.0 port.
Q: How much usable space do you actually get on the Sandisk 32GB Ultra USB Flash Drive?
A: You typically get about 28GB to 30GB of usable space after formatting and system file allocation. That is normal for a 32GB drive and is enough for everyday documents, photos, music files, or a small mix of video and backups.
Q: Is 32GB enough on this Sandisk Ultra USB drive for photos, school files, and everyday backups?
A: Yes. A 32GB drive suits day to day storage such as documents, presentations, music, and a large photo library. It is less suitable if you regularly move long 4K video files or full computer backups, where 64GB or 128GB is usually more practical.
Q: Does the Sandisk 32GB Ultra USB Flash Drive have a cap, or is the USB connector protected another way?
A: This Sandisk Ultra model uses a retractable USB connector rather than a separate cap. That helps protect the plug when the drive is in a bag or pocket, and also means there is no loose cap to misplace between uses.
Q: Can this Sandisk 32GB Ultra USB Flash Drive be used for movies or TV playback on compatible devices?
A: Yes, if the TV, media player, car stereo, or console supports USB file playback and the file format it needs. The drive stores the files, but playback still depends on the device recognising both the USB drive and the video or audio format used.
