Ps5 controller
Genuine product purchased from The Good Guys. Works flawlessly. Shopped around and found an unbeatable deal. The Good Guys always happy to spin a deal when no other retailers even cared. Love shopping at Port Macquarie Good Guys.

Reliable and functional
Not much to say, it works well, charge lasts for a long time, and it hasn't broken yet despite my children trying their best.

Things to consider
It delivers strong all-round immersion and comfort, but it has fewer advanced customisation options than premium eSports-focused controllers with extra rear buttons or extensive remapping.
Platform compatibility
PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, mobile devices
Competitive gaming suitability
7/10 - responsive and comfortable for regular competitive play, but lacks pro-level rear buttons and deeper hardware customisation.
Comfort score
9/10 - ergonomic shape and balanced design make it comfortable for extended play.
Customisation flexibility
6/10 - supports standard controller use well, but offers less physical customisation than specialist premium controllers.
Portability rating
8/10 - wireless design makes it easy to move between rooms or compatible devices, though it is still a full-size controller.
Key benefits
- Haptic Feedback: More detailed vibration effects help make movement, impacts and environmental changes feel more lifelike in supported games.
- Adaptive Triggers: Variable trigger resistance adds a more tactile feel when accelerating, braking or using in-game equipment in supported titles.
- Wireless Bluetooth Connection: Pairs quickly with PS5 and compatible devices for a cleaner setup with less cable clutter.
- USB Type-C Charging and Play: Lets you keep gaming while charging through a modern, widely used cable connection.
- 3.5 mm Headset Jack: Connects wired gaming headsets directly to the controller for simple voice chat and audio.
- Motion Sensors: Supports more interactive control input for games that use tilt or movement-based actions.
- Ergonomic Shape: Comfortable hand feel helps reduce fatigue during longer gaming sessions.
- Galactic Purple Finish: Adds a distinctive colour option that stands out in a console or desk gaming setup.
Q: Does this DualSense controller work with a PS4 console?
A: No. This controller is listed for PS5 and compatible devices such as PC, Mac and mobile. A PS4 console is not listed as a supported connection target, so it is not the right choice if PS4 play is the priority.
Q: Will haptic feedback and adaptive triggers work on PC?
A: They can, but support varies by game and device. The controller connects to PC, Mac and mobile, but PS5 is where haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are most consistently supported, so expect some features to be reduced elsewhere.
Q: Can I use the controller while it is charging?
A: Yes. The DualSense controller charges through USB Type-C and can keep playing while connected, which is useful when the battery is low. Wireless play is separate, so a cable is only needed for charging or a wired connection.
Q: Can I plug a wired gaming headset into this controller?
A: Yes. This controller has a 3.5mm headset jack for wired headsets, so voice chat can run directly through the controller. That jack is for wired audio only, and support can vary when the controller is used away from a PS5 console.
Q: Can this controller pair with a phone or tablet?
A: Yes. Bluetooth pairing lets this controller connect with compatible mobile devices for supported games and remote play setups. Feature support depends on the app or game, so some titles may not use the full DualSense feature set away from PS5.
