Platform compatibility
PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, compatible mobile devices
Competitive gaming suitability
7/10 - responsive and comfortable, but it is geared more toward immersive all-round play than specialist esports customisation.
Comfort score
9/10 - well-shaped grips and balanced layout make it comfortable for long gaming sessions.
Customisation flexibility
5/10 - strong core controls, but fewer built-in remapping and hardware customisation options than specialist pro controllers.
Portability rating
8/10 - wireless design and broad device compatibility make it easy to carry between rooms or setups.
Key benefits
- Haptic Feedback: Dual actuators create more detailed in-game sensations than traditional rumble for a more immersive feel.
- Adaptive Triggers: Variable trigger resistance can make accelerating, braking and firing actions feel more responsive in supported games.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: Pairs wirelessly with compatible PS5, PC, Mac and mobile devices for flexible play across multiple platforms.
- USB Type-C Charging: Recharge with a modern USB-C connection and plug in when the battery runs low.
- Motion Sensors: Built-in accelerometer and gyroscope add movement-based control options for supported games.
- Ergonomic Design: The familiar DualSense shape is comfortable for extended sessions across a wide range of game styles.
- Chroma Teal Finish: The shifting teal colour gives your setup a more distinctive and premium look.
- 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Adds peace of mind for everyday use and gifting.
Q: Does the Chroma Teal DualSense controller work with a PS4 console?
A: No. This DualSense controller is designed for PS5 and is not supported for native PS4 gameplay. It can still be used for some PS4 titles when streaming through Remote Play on a compatible PC, Mac or mobile device.
Q: Will all DualSense features work when this controller is connected to a PC or Mac?
A: No. Basic control works on many PC and Mac games, but advanced features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers depend on the game and platform support. Some titles only enable the full effect when connected by USB.
Q: Can this DualSense controller be used with phones and tablets for mobile gaming?
A: Yes. It can pair over Bluetooth with supported mobile devices, but game compatibility varies by app and operating system. Some games support full controller input, while others only recognise basic buttons or no controller at all.
Q: Is the Chroma Teal version different from a standard PS5 DualSense controller apart from the colour?
A: No. Chroma Teal uses the same DualSense design and core features as the regular PS5 controller, including wireless connectivity and motion sensing. The main difference is the iridescent finish, which shifts colour from different angles.
Q: Does this controller need Bluetooth, or can it also be used wired?
A: It can be used either way. Bluetooth suits wireless play on compatible devices, while a USB-C cable is useful for charging during play and can provide a more stable connection on supported setups such as PC gaming or close-range console use.
