A very premium and stylish stand mixer that has more than enough power to create any recipe. From perfectly kneading large batches of dough to whisking meringues, all of the attachments are of a premium quality and reflect the price. The 10 year warranty is also unbeatable.

Picked this up from The Good Guys Hoppers Crossing and it's been a workhorse in our kitchen ever since. With six people in the house, we're regularly baking in large quantities, and this mixer handles everything without breaking a sweat. The 7-litre bowl is the standout feature for us. It comfortably holds big batches of bread dough, cake batter, and everything in between without needing to split the mix. The motor is seriously powerful, pushing through even the heaviest doughs smoothly and consistently. The built-in EasyWeigh digital scale has genuinely changed how we bake. Instead of pulling out separate scales and dirtying extra bowls, you just measure directly into the mixing bowl as you go. It keeps the bench clear and speeds up the whole process — especially when you're making multiple things in one session. The attachments that come included, the K-beater, dough hook, balloon whisk, and creaming beater, are all solid quality and cover pretty much every task. The planetary mixing action means the beater reaches the whole bowl, so there's minimal scraping down the sides. The ten speed settings give you real control depending on what you're making. The LiftLight head mechanism is smooth and easy to use, even with messy hands. Build quality overall feels premium and built to last, Kenwood's reputation for durability is well earned here. The only things worth mentioning: it's a large machine, so you'll need decent bench space, and the whisk can struggle slightly with very small quantities. Neither is a dealbreaker, just worth knowing before you buy. For a large household or anyone who bakes regularly, this is absolutely worth the investment.

I did lots of research before I decided on this mixer. I am very happy with it all round, except that the whisk attachment won’t beat 1 egg white, however reviews that I had read from other owners warned this was the case. I have made bread, biscuits, marshmallow, cakes, meringues, in the short time that I have had it, and am very pleased with the performance of my Titanium Chef Baker.

As a result, you can only do bread in the enormous bowl. The creamer didn't reach edges of the bowl, so a lot of annoying stopping and scraping had to happen. If you have a large family with big batches, it might work for you. Take a bit of finagling to get bowls on and off, and the pictogram instructions suck and relate to multiple models. I suspect the smaller model would do most families better. The motor is excellent, and that's what I purchased it for.

I bought this Kenwood mixer to replace my old one when the bowl broke. That mixer was at least 35 years old and had had good use. I'm mainly using this mixer to make sourdough bread and it is wonderful. It handles the dough kneading well and I particularly like the ability to weigh my ingredients in the mixer. It appears to be sturdy and it has an attractive look.

The Kenwood Titanium Chef Baker XL Stand Mixer Black is a powerful, versatile mixer ideal for avid home bakers and passionate cooks. It features a high-performance 1200W motor, dual large-capacity bowls, and direct-to-bowl weighing for efficient prep. Its wide attachment compatibility makes it highly adaptable. One limitation: its large size may not suit compact kitchens.
Its larger footprint may not be ideal for smaller kitchens or limited bench space.
10/10 - Advanced features and large capacity make it ideal for passionate bakers.
9/10 - Compatible with a wide range of attachments for diverse kitchen tasks.
8/10 - Removable bowls and attachments are easy to clean, but the large size may require more effort.
Best suited to medium to large kitchens with ample bench space.
7/10 - Straightforward controls, but size and advanced features may be overwhelming for first-time users.
A: The key difference is convenience for frequent baking. This model adds direct-to-bowl weighing, an extra baking bowl and a fold function, so there is less stopping to measure ingredients and better control for delicate mixes than on simpler mixers.
A: Yes. The fold function is designed for mixtures that need a lighter touch, such as mousse, soufflé bases or cake batters with whipped egg whites. It is intended to combine ingredients more gently than standard mixing, so less air is knocked out.
A: The extra bowl helps when a recipe uses separate stages, such as whipping in one bowl and mixing in another. It also suits batch baking, because there is less washing up between steps and fewer pauses when moving from doughs to cake mixes.
A: Yes. The XL format and extra bowl make it better suited to larger or multi-stage bakes than compact stand mixers. It is a stronger fit for regular bread, cake or pastry prep, but it will take more bench space than smaller kitchen mixers.
A: It is most useful if recipes are measured in stages. Direct-to-bowl weighing lets ingredients be added straight into the mixing bowl instead of using separate scales, which can save time and reduce extra dishes when making doughs, batters and fillings.
A: This model suits bakers who will use its added features regularly. The XL body, extra bowl and weighing system are valuable for frequent bread and cake making, but buyers with limited bench space or simpler mixing needs may prefer a smaller mixer.
