Good Multi Cooker. Value for Money
I got a rice cooker, a slow cooker, and a pressure cooker but I never have a multi cooker before. This is the first time I purchased multi cooker from Instant Pot. The modern technology which made this multi cooker perfectly for daily use in kitchen. Compared to my old individual cookers, this multi cooker combined all the features together and made it easy, simple, convenience and advanced to use. Also, I purchased this multi cooker during the 20% off in The Good Guys’ promotion period plus I used some store credits. It is a big discount, and I am very happy about this purchased.

Q: Is the 5.7L Instant Duo big enough for four people?
A: Yes. The 5.7L bowl is sized for up to six portions, so it suits most dinners for a household of four with some leftovers. It is less suitable if you regularly cook very large batches, big roasts or party-sized serves.
Q: Does the stainless steel inner pot have a non-stick coating?
A: No. This model uses a stainless steel inner pot rather than a non-stick insert. That suits searing and dishwasher cleaning, but food can stick more easily if heat is too high or the pot is not deglazed before pressure cooking.
Q: Can it replace a separate slow cooker and rice cooker?
A: Yes. It has dedicated slow cook and rice programs, so it can take over those everyday jobs in one appliance. It is built for pressure cooking, steaming and similar moist cooking methods, not dry-crisp cooking styles.
Q: Can this multi cooker pressure cook from frozen ingredients?
A: Yes. Instant 112-0182-01-AU can handle frozen ingredients under pressure, which suits soups, curries and stews. Browning works best before pressure cooking, so frozen meat is better for straight pressure-cook recipes than for searing first.
Q: What do the included accessories actually let you cook straight away?
A: The included sealing ring, silicone trivet, mitts, tray and lid give you the basics to start pressure cooking and steaming without extra add-ons. They add flexibility from day one, but they do not add dry-heat cooking functions.
Q: Is this a good pick for a small kitchen?
A: Yes. Instant 112-0182-01-AU combines several common cooker functions in one 5.7L unit, so it can free up cupboard and bench space. The trade-off is that it is still a mid-sized appliance, not a compact mini cooker for very tight storage.
