Its main strengths are low-cost refillable ink, easy wireless printing with AirPrint support, and a space-saving footprint. Things to consider
This is a print-only model, so users who need scanning, copying or faster document output may be better served by a multifunction or higher-tier printer.
Home office suitability score
7/10 - a good match for light document printing at home, but the print-only design limits versatility.
Photo printing quality
7/10 - strong resolution and borderless 10 x 15 cm support make it suitable for casual photo printing at home.
Ease of use rating
8/10 - straightforward setup, mobile app support and AirPrint make everyday printing simple for most users.
Running cost guidance
Low running costs for regular home use thanks to the EcoTank bottle system and high included ink yield.
Family friendliness
8/10 - easy wireless printing, compact size and low refill hassle make it well suited to busy households.
Key benefits
- EcoTank Refillable Ink System: Uses refillable ink bottles instead of cartridges, helping reduce refill frequency and ongoing printing costs.
- Wireless and AirPrint Support: Print easily from iPhone, iPad and other connected devices without needing a complicated setup.
- Mobile App Printing: Works with the Epson Smart Panel app and Epson Remote Print for convenient printing from phones and tablets.
- High Print Resolution: Up to 5760 x 1440 dpi delivers sharp text and detailed colour output for everyday documents and photos.
- Borderless Photo Printing: Supports borderless 10 x 15 cm prints for cleaner-looking family photos and snapshots.
- 100-Sheet Rear Paper Tray: Holds up to 100 sheets, so there is less need to reload paper during regular home printing.
- Compact Desk-Friendly Design: At about 15.2 cm high and around 3.1 kg, it fits neatly into smaller home work areas.
- Included Ink Yield: Bundled ink is rated for up to 3,600 black pages and 6,500 colour pages, giving strong value from the box.
Q: Can I print from an iPhone without installing Epson apps?
A: Yes. Epson EcoTank ET-1910 supports Apple AirPrint, so compatible iPhone, iPad and Mac devices can print over Wi-Fi without the Epson app. Epson Smart Panel and Epson Remote Print are still useful for setup and some extra printing tasks.
Q: Does this printer use cartridges or refillable ink bottles?
A: It uses refillable EcoTank ink bottles, not cartridges. Epson EcoTank ET-1910 uses four individual 522 bottles for black, cyan, magenta and yellow, which suits regular home printing better than frequent cartridge swaps.
Q: Is the ET-1910 good for frequent home document printing?
A: Yes, for regular home use. Epson EcoTank ET-1910 includes bundled ink rated at 3,600 black pages and 6,500 colour pages, with a 100-sheet tray, but its ISO speeds suit routine printing better than large office batches.
Q: Which computers does the ET-1910 work with at home?
A: Epson EcoTank ET-1910 works with Windows 7 through Windows 11, Mac OS X 10.9.5 or later, Mac OS 11 or later, and ChromeOS. That covers most current home laptops and desktops, whether you print by Wi-Fi or USB.
Q: Can the ET-1910 print borderless photos larger than 4x6?
A: No. Epson EcoTank ET-1910 lists borderless printing for 4x6 inch, 100x148 mm and 3.5x5 inch sizes only. It can still print on larger paper sizes such as A4, just not as a listed borderless photo format.
Q: How much desk space does the Epson ET-1910 need?
A: Epson EcoTank ET-1910 is compact for a desk, but allow extra depth when printing. Its storage size is 361 mm wide, 317 mm deep and 152 mm high, while the printing footprint extends to 564 mm deep with paper handling space open.
