Pros
Great Kitchen Helper
Main reason I bought this was for grating large quantities of vegetables quickly with the shoot and it works so well. Plus has many other uses.

Great little appliance!
The Durapres Prep Master Mini has been a great help to me especially when grating carrots. When grating by hand I invariably grate my fingers and I finally decided there had to be an easier way. This small appliance is simple to use and cleaning is quick and easy. Also, it takes up very little space in the cupboard. I would definitely give it my recommendation!

Great Compact Food Prep Machine
I've been very happy with the Durapres Prep Master Mini. It's compact, easy to use, and doesn't take up much bench space, making it ideal for everyday food preparation. It handles chopping, slicing, and basic prep tasks quickly and efficiently, saving me a lot of time in the kitchen. The machine feels sturdy and is simple to clean after use. Despite its small size, it has plenty of power for most household needs. It's a great option for anyone looking for a convenient food prep solution without the bulk of a full-sized food processor. Overall, excellent value for money and a practical addition to any kitchen.

Ideal for small dishes
Excellent machine. I especially love the way it ejects the grated vegetables, rather than having it all stick to the inside of the processor bowl. The other functions work a treat!

Awesome mini whizzy
I love this mini Durapres food processor. It fits really nicely in my deep kitchen drawer for easy storage. I have used it to make pesto a couple times and I am very impressed by how smooth I can chop it in literally seconds. My big processor was never this good for pesto. I have also made the smoothest hummus in it. It also made short order of mincing a chicken breast so I could cook it up for my puppies. The other really impressive thing is that it's not limited by the small size of the cup when using the grater/slicer disc. The chute lid attachment allowed me to grate a rather large raw beetroot (cut into chunks beforehand) directly into my frying pan to cook. This little gadget is fast becoming my favourite kitchen machine.

At a glance
The Durapres Prep Master Mini is a compact food processor built for small-batch prep like chopping vegetables, slicing, grating and light whisking. It suits singles, couples and smaller kitchens that need quick everyday convenience. Key strengths include its versatile attachments, dual lid options and easy-clean dishwasher-safe parts. Its main limitation is the 0.5 L capacity, which is less suited to family-size meal prep.

Things to consider
Its 0.5 L bowl is practical for small portions, but it is less suitable than larger or more powerful food processors for bulk prep, larger families or heavier mixing tasks.
Home chef suitability
7/10 - Great for quick everyday prep and small recipes, but limited capacity makes it less ideal for more advanced batch cooking.
Ease of cleaning score
9/10 - Dishwasher-safe bowl, blades and attachments make post-prep cleanup simple.
Recipe versatility rating
7/10 - Covers chopping, slicing, grating and light whisking well, though it is not aimed at larger or more specialised prep tasks.
Family use fit
Best for singles and couples rather than larger families due to the 0.5 L capacity.
Noise level vs category average
About average for a compact food processor, with no specific low-noise design highlighted.
Key benefits
- 0.5 l compact capacity: Well suited to small households, single-serve recipes and quick prep without taking up much bench space.
- Chops, slices, grates and whisks: Handles multiple everyday prep tasks in one appliance, reducing the need for separate kitchen tools.
- Whisk attachment: Adds light mixing capability for tasks such as whipping cream or preparing simple batters.
- Dual titanium blades: Designed to process a variety of ingredients for more dependable chopping performance in daily use.
- Two lid options: Lets you choose a traditional chute or continuous feed setup for more flexible ingredient handling.
- Overheat protection: Helps protect the motor during longer prep sessions and adds reassurance during repeated use.
- Safety switch: Helps prevent operation unless the unit is correctly assembled, making everyday use more straightforward.
- Dishwasher-safe parts: Bowl, blades and attachments are easier to clean after use, helping reduce cleanup time.
Q: Is the 0.5L bowl big enough for everyday meal prep?
A: It suits small batches, such as dips, sauces, garnishes and single-serve prep. The 0.5L bowl is better for one or two portions at a time than bulk chopping for a large family meal or a big weekend cook-up.
Q: Can it grate straight into a bowl instead of the processor bowl?
A: Yes. One lid option uses a continuous feeding tube so ingredients can be processed directly into an external bowl or pan instead of collecting inside the main bowl. That is handy when grating or slicing more than the bowl holds.
Q: What can the whisk attachment handle in real kitchen use?
A: The whisk attachment is suited to light mixing jobs such as creams or batters. It adds more flexibility than a chop-only mini processor, but it is not designed as a heavy-duty mixer for dense doughs or large mixture volumes.
Q: Are all the removable parts safe to wash in the dishwasher?
A: The bowl, blades and attachments are dishwasher safe, which covers the main food-contact parts. The motor base should be wiped clean only, and the lids are best treated more carefully because dishwasher-safe cleaning is not listed for them.
Q: Does overheat protection mean it can handle longer prep sessions?
A: No. Overheat protection helps prevent damage if the unit gets too hot, and the safety switch stops operation unless it is assembled correctly. This model is still built for small everyday prep rather than long, continuous bulk processing.
Q: Will this mini processor work for pesto, hummus and similar recipes?
A: Yes. Dual titanium blades are designed to chop a range of ingredients, so it suits small-batch recipes like pesto, hummus, dips and sauces. Its strength is fast everyday prep, not processing large batches in one go.
