Small appliance, Big Advantages
Bought this small chopper, when my large processor bowl broke, and I needed something in a hurry to chop vegetables for pasties. Rather than do it by hand, it was half the size of my medium processor. And I didn’t expect it to be very powerful. However I was quite surprised at how versatile it is. Yes. It’s smaller capacity in comparison, but it’s so quick to chop, and empty, it basically takes the same amount of time as my larger appliance. Easy to wash in the dishwasher, and takes up less space in a cupboard. Quite happy.

While it excels at small-batch tasks, its limited bowl capacity may not suit larger meal preparations.

Key benefits
- One-Touch Operation: Simplifies chopping with a single button for effortless use.
- Stainless Steel Blades: Delivers consistent, even chopping for a variety of ingredients.
- Compact Design: Takes up minimal bench space, perfect for smaller kitchens.
- Easy Assembly: Quick to set up and disassemble for hassle-free use.
- Dishwasher-Safe Parts: Bowl and blades can be cleaned in the dishwasher for added convenience.
- Non-Slip Base: Keeps the chopper stable during operation for safer use.

Q: Can the Russell Hobbs Desire Matt Black Chopper replace a full-size food processor?
A: No. This compact chopper is better for quick prep jobs like onions, herbs, nuts and breadcrumbs, rather than slicing, kneading or large batch work. If you regularly prep bigger quantities, a full-size processor is the better fit.
Q: Is the Russell Hobbs Desire Matt Black Chopper suitable for making sauces or smoothies?
A: It can help with small, thicker mixtures, but it is not a true blender. A mini chopper is designed to chop and roughly combine ingredients, so it will not usually give the same smooth result as a jug blender for drinks or soups.
Q: What kinds of ingredients is the Russell Hobbs Desire Matt Black Chopper best for?
A: It is best for small prep tasks such as chopping onion, garlic, herbs, nuts or making crumbs and dips. Very large, hard or hot ingredients are less suitable, so food may need to be cut into smaller pieces before processing.
Q: How do you get the best results from the Russell Hobbs Desire Matt Black Chopper?
A: Use it in short bursts and avoid overfilling the bowl. That gives more even chopping and helps stop soft ingredients turning to puree too quickly. Cutting food into similar small pieces first usually improves consistency as well.
