Really good upgrade from air fryer (dryer)
Apart from the long cycle times the air dryer is working great and I through almost everything in there including delicates and sheets. Hooking it up to the drain made it easier. Precious dryer would shrink clothes and melt some of the acrylic decals on sports shirts. Used almost daily during winter and non sunny days

Bosch 8kg Heat Pump Dryer
I am using this product from last one month now and overall I am happy with my purchase. Drying quality is really good and self cleaning feature is what I love the most. It has good capacity and lot of different drying options. It can handle the load very well.

Great dryer
This is the first dryer we've ever bought and it's been great. Very quiet, we've got it in the garage and hardly notice when it's running. It takes a while to dry the clothes (I think that's just the nature of heat pumps) but the results have been great.

9.5/10 - 9 star energy rating makes it one of the more efficient household dryer options.
Family laundry suitability
8.5/10 - 8kg capacity and bedding-friendly features suit most family households well.
Allergy suitability
Moderate - gentle heat pump drying is fabric-friendly, but no dedicated allergy or hygiene program is specified.
Noise level vs category
7/10 - likely in line with typical heat pump dryers, but no specific noise figure is provided.
Ease of use rating

Key benefits
- Heat Pump Drying: Uses lower drying temperatures to help care for fabrics more gently than conventional high-heat drying.
- 8kg Capacity: Handles everyday family washing, including towels, sheets and mixed clothing loads.
- 9 Star Energy Rating: Delivers very strong energy performance for lower running costs compared with less efficient dryer types.
- SelfCleaning Condenser: Reduces the amount of manual condenser maintenance required over time.
- Bed Linen Program: Helps bulky bedding dry more effectively with settings tailored to larger fabric items.
- Reversible Drum Action: Helps reduce tangling so larger items like sheets and covers can dry more evenly.
- Delayed Start: Lets you set drying to begin at a more convenient time to better fit your household routine.
- Flexible Drainage: Collected water can be emptied from the internal container or plumbed to a drain for easier ongoing use.
Q: Does this heat pump dryer take longer than a standard dryer?
A: Yes. Bosch WQG235D8AU uses lower heat than a conventional high-heat dryer, so cycles can feel longer in return for gentler fabric care and lower energy use. It suits buyers who value efficiency more than the fastest possible turnaround.
Q: Can it work in an apartment without external venting?
A: Yes. Bosch WQG235D8AU is a heat pump dryer, so it does not need an external vent or wall duct. That makes it suitable for apartments and internal laundries, though it still needs normal room airflow and access to its water tank or drain hose.
Q: Is 8kg enough for sheets, towels and everyday family washing?
A: Yes. The 8kg drum is sized for everyday family loads, including towels, sheets and mixed clothing. It is less suited to very large households or frequent oversized items, where a larger-capacity dryer gives more room for bulky loads to move.
Q: Do I have to empty the water container every load?
A: No. Bosch WQG235D8AU can collect water in the internal container or be plumbed to a drain for ongoing use. If the drain hose is connected, regular tank emptying is usually avoided, which is handy when the dryer runs often.
Q: Will this dryer be gentler on delicates and printed sportswear?
A: Yes. Heat pump drying uses lower temperatures, which is generally gentler on delicate fabrics and printed garments than high-heat drying. It still does not override the care label, so items marked unsuitable for tumble drying should stay out.
Q: Is the SelfCleaning condenser completely maintenance free?
A: No. The SelfCleaning condenser reduces how often the condenser needs manual attention, but it does not make the dryer maintenance free. Regular lint filter cleaning and normal care still matter for drying performance and day-to-day reliability.
