Perfect for me
My iPhone 7 was long past due for an upgrade, but I procrastinated until I could procrastinate no more. I compared the newest model (the iPhone 17) along with the iPhone 16 and this one, the 16e. I don't need the latest and greatest, and the additional features available with the iPhone 16 weren't essential for me, so I went with the cheaper 16e. I am not at all disappointed. The phone was easy to set up (by having the old and new phones in close proximity to each other) and following all the steps as they came up. I did have a few issues with having to set up again certain apps, eg Signal needed to close down everything on the app on the old phone to reinstate the account on the new phone, but it was a smooth process and I didn't lose any data. I also had a problem with my bank's security code app and had to delete both the bank and the security code apps in order for them to function properly on the new phone. It was pretty annoying when it happened, but once everything was resolved, I've had no further issues. The only other 'negative' (and it's not that big of a deal) is that I have to get new charge cables, as this phone has a different connection (I don't know what they're called) to the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 13 that my hubs uses. I am delighted with how well the phone holds its charge. I charge it once every 24 hours, even though it has not yet got below about 30%. (My old phone was losing 1-2% charge every time I opened a new website in Safari ... I know it was VERY old, haha.) It's taken a little while to get used to all the upgrades I've missed out on by holding on to the iPhone 7 for so long, but - like all iPhones - it's easy to adapt and after a couple of weeks of using it, it feels very familiar and comfortable. There are some features I'm having fun with, even though they're old hat for people who upgraded sooner. I'm very pleased with my new phone and plan to get many years use out of it.

Apple iPhone 16e 128GB
I’m upgrading from after 3years old iPhone 13 (which I always liked but the battery is getting tired) and this 16e 128gb totally meets, even exceeds, my expectations. I wanted USB-C charging, a better screen, longer battery life, upgraded processor (future proofing) and more storage. I don’t care about a wide angle lens - rarely used it , and the 48 MP camera on this one is much better. The screen is brighter as well. And the battery life is crazy good! It’s just the right size as it’s identical in size, . For the price, this is the absolute best iPhone value in my opinion.
