    Good

4 hot plates, but 3 sizes. My smallest pot is too big for the small plate but too small for the Medium plate. Minor issue. I find that it takes a longer time to get to temperature, than my previous stove top. The ease of the twist knobs are great, but careful at cleaning or wiping down, easy to knock to start. It's is great for for someone who needs a stove for the odd occasional cooking. For those that use a stove more often, maybe look for ease of cooking, ie location of your fav pot cooking at the front or rear. I would prefer 1 lge, 2 med 1 small hot plate.

    Westinghouse Oven

Just love Westinghouse products. Replaced my old Westinghouse oven of 10 yrs with a new one and this product is amazing. Just love the double oven rather than having the bottom oven like old one as a grill which I never used. Totally recommend

Good product, works well. Only issue is the stovetop is difficult to clean. Otherwise great and would recommend to anyone that doesn’t like the touch buttons.

Q: Is the Westinghouse WHC642BC an induction cooktop?

A: No, the WHC642BC is a ceramic electric cooktop, not an induction model. It heats through radiant elements under the glass, so it works with most flat-based cookware but usually responds more slowly than induction.

Q: Can the Westinghouse WHC642BC replace an older 60cm cooktop?

A: Often yes for overall appliance width, but 60cm does not mean every benchtop cut-out is the same. Check the WHC642BC cut-out and clearance requirements against the existing opening before ordering, then discuss with your electrician.

Q: Does the ceramic surface on the WHC642BC stay hot after cooking?

A: Yes, the ceramic glass can retain residual heat after a zone is switched off, often longer than an induction surface. That can help with gentle finishing heat, but it also means extra care is needed around the cooktop after cooking.

Q: What type of cookware works best on the Westinghouse WHC642BC?

A: Flat-based pots and pans are the best match for the WHC642BC because they make even contact with the heated zone. Unlike induction, it does not need magnetic cookware, but warped or rough bases can heat less evenly and mark the glass.

Q: How does the WHC642BC compare with induction for everyday cooking?

A: The WHC642BC suits buyers who want a ceramic glass cooktop with broad cookware compatibility. Compared with induction, it is usually slower to heat and cool, so temperature changes feel less immediate during fast frying or boiling.
