I think the calcium catchment is a great idea. The iron itself is light weight and has a large water capacity. The steam feature that requires movement of the toggle to the right is not a locking mechanism it can only be used if held in place. Smaller hands may find this a difficult action. It is for steaming vertically.

Love this iron
I never thought I would say that I love an iron but I found one that I truly do love. This iron is fabulous. Just the right amount of weight in your had. Steams beautifully and flattens items extremely well. Next time I need to buy an iron it will be one of these again.

Looked at more ezoensive irons but they were SO heavy....this has a good sized plate and works very smoothly. Does an excellent job. I do like a long lead so I would have liked a longer lead, easily solved with an extension lead. Otherwise exceptionally happy with the product.
