A thin slice can toast a bit unevenly, presumably because it may not be quite vertical in the slot. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Leaves a bit to be desired
Unless it is our home made bread, on level 7.5 is still hasn't browned my bread. Great having 4 slice capacity and not side by side, but 2 rows of 2. Can't say that I could recommend.

Gets dangerously hot very quickly
The toaster is very lightweight. It makes toast ok, but the entire case heats up when it does so - including the panel around the controls. Having a lever that lets you pop up the toast to check it part way is a good feature, but you need to put a finger on the top to hold the toaster down while you do that, which puts you at risk of burning yourself. The toaster also buzzes softly the entire time it is on, which is slightly annoying.
