Great manual sodastream
Easy to use, looks good. I love that it’s manual and not another plug in appliance.

Does the thing
I've had soda streams before and was mostly sick of walking the 80m to my local shop to buy a bottle of coke every other day. So I decided to pick one of these up as a impulse buy while I was at the Good Guys to look at iPad cases. I also grabbed a bottle of the Pepsi syrup, and somehow they've managed to make Pepsi taste even worse. I have since gone online to see if there is a Coke syrup, and thought I found some. Even had the Coke logos. So I ordered 4 bottles of that, when it arrived I was disappointed to see it didn't have the Coke logos and looked more like the Kmart Cola branding. It's about the same taste as the Pepsi syrup. I did further searching for some more authentic Coke syrup, and initially it looked like there might be some options, but it was a complete fizzer and I didn't order anything else, and will just suffer through the 5 bottles of non-Coke and get the occasional Coke from the local shops. The unit works as intended and injects bubbles into tap water. I doesn't do anything to help me keep stocking the fridge with water, and really... how could it?

Q: Does the SodaStream Terra use the pink Quick Connect gas cylinder?
A: Yes. The Terra is designed for SodaStream Quick Connect cylinders, commonly identified by the pink fitting, rather than the older screw-in style. That makes cylinder insertion faster, but existing blue screw-in cylinders are not directly compatible.
Q: Do all SodaStream bottles fit the SodaStream Terra?
A: No. The Terra works with compatible SodaStream carbonating bottles, including the included 1L dishwasher-safe BPA-free bottle and selected Fizz & Go bottles. Not every older bottle fits, so check that the bottle is approved for Terra use before buying extras.
Q: How long does a CO2 cylinder usually last in the SodaStream Terra?
A: A standard SodaStream cylinder typically makes about 60 litres of sparkling water, depending on how fizzy you like it. Using short bursts for light carbonation will stretch it further, while stronger fizz levels will use the gas more quickly.
Q: Can I carbonate juice or cordial directly in the SodaStream Terra?
A: No. The Terra is designed to carbonate plain water only, then add flavour afterwards. Carbonating juice, cordial or other liquids in the machine can cause foaming and overflow, which makes it messier and less predictable to use.
Q: How can I tell this SodaStream Terra apart from older SodaStream models?
A: The easiest sign is the Quick Connect gas system, which uses the pink cylinder instead of the older screw-in type. Terra also comes with a 1L dishwasher-safe bottle, so it suits buyers who want simpler cylinder changes and easier bottle care.
Q: Does the SodaStream Terra need electricity or batteries to work?
A: No. The Terra is a manual sparkling water maker, so carbonation comes from the CO2 cylinder rather than mains power or batteries. That makes it easy to place on a kitchen bench without needing a nearby powerpoint or charging cable.
