Hasn't been delivered
Not sure why I've been asked to write a review when the product hasn't even been delivered by SMEG yet. Ordered and paid in store months ago and SMEG still haven't delivered the goods.

Great looking soda maker.
Easy to use and attach bottles. Takes a little while to fizz and doesn't seem to retain fizz like other brands. Disappointed that it only comes with one bottle. Would be great to be able to purchase additional bottles.

- No Electricity Required: Flexible placement anywhere in the kitchen or bar area.
- Elegant Matte Finish: Modern design enhances kitchen aesthetics.

Q: Does the Smeg soda maker come with a CO2 cylinder?
A: No. The Smeg SKC01BLMAU uses a standard 400-425g screw-in CO2 cylinder, but the gas cylinder is sold separately. It includes one Tritan Renew bottle, so it is ready to use once a compatible cylinder is fitted.
Q: Which CO2 cylinders fit this Smeg soda maker?
A: Smeg SKC01BLMAU is compatible with standard 400-425g screw-in CO2 cylinders. The key detail is the screw-in connection, not a quick-connect style, so check the cylinder fitting type before buying a refill or spare.
Q: Can I buy extra bottles for this soda maker?
A: Yes. An extra bottle is available as an optional accessory, model SKSB01. That is useful if one bottle is in the dishwasher or chilled in the fridge, because this soda maker comes with a single bottle in the box.
Q: Is the 800mL bottle enough for everyday family use?
A: It suits light to moderate daily use best. Each cycle carbonates up to 800mL of water, so a household making several rounds will need to refill between batches, especially when more than one person wants sparkling water at once.
Q: Will this soda maker fit on a small kitchen bench?
A: Yes, in many kitchens. The Smeg SKC01BLMAU measures 135mm wide, 245mm deep and 420mm high, so the footprint is compact, but the height matters if you plan to place it under overhead cupboards or on a shelf.
