Makes two cups and is very quite. The color wasn't as pale as I thought it would of been. But it's still a lovely color.

Q: Is the 0.8L mini kettle enough for two people daily?
A: Yes. The 0.8L capacity makes up to 3 cups, which suits daily tea or coffee for one or two people without heating excess water. It is less practical when several drinks need making at once or when serving guests.
Q: Will this kettle fit in a small kitchen or office?
A: Yes. At 200mm wide, 152mm deep and 200mm high, it suits compact benches in small kitchens, home offices or guest rooms. It still needs enough space above the lid for filling, and nearby clearance for safe pouring.
Q: Does it switch off automatically if it boils dry?
A: Yes. Smeg KLF05PGAU switches off at boiling point and also when empty, which adds protection if it is accidentally started without enough water. It still needs to be used as a kettle only, not left running without supervision.
Q: Does the outside stay cooler than a standard metal kettle?
A: Yes. Smeg KLF05PGAU has a double wall with an internal stainless steel body and a plastic outer wall, so the exterior stays cooler to touch than the inside. The surface can still warm up during use, so use the handle for lifting.
Q: Can the Smeg mini kettle sit on its base any way?
A: Yes. The 360 degree swivel base lets the kettle be placed back from any direction, which is handy for left and right handed use. It is cordless for carrying to the bench or desk, and the base includes a cable tidy underneath.
Q: Is this mini kettle a good choice for hard water areas?
A: Yes. The removable limescale filter helps catch scale before pouring and makes routine cleaning easier in hard water areas. It does not stop mineral build-up inside the kettle, so regular descaling is still part of normal upkeep.
