PlayStation 5 Standard console
Gamer suitability
8/10 - ideal for PS5 players who want official custom styling, but it does not add gameplay or protection features.
Portability rating
4/10 - lightweight and easy to handle during installation, but intended as a stationary console customisation accessory.
Durability score
7/10 - built for everyday console use with a solid hard-shell design, though cosmetic surfaces can still show marks over time.
Key benefits
- Official Fit: Designed to match the PlayStation 5 Standard console for a clean, secure factory-style finish.
- Nova Pink Colourway: Adds a bold, distinctive look that helps your console stand out in your gaming space.
- Easy Swap Design: Lets you refresh your console appearance without needing tools or technical setup.
- Seamless Styling: Maintains the original shape and design language of the PS5 rather than looking like an aftermarket add-on.
- Colour Coordination: Pairs well with matching PlayStation accessories for a more unified setup.
- Non-Electronic Upgrade: Changes the look of your console without affecting performance, storage, or gameplay settings.
Q: Will this cover fit the PS5 Digital Edition console?
A: No. This cover is made for the original PlayStation 5 Standard console, not the Digital Edition. If the console does not have the disc drive opening used on the Standard model, this shell will not line up correctly.
Q: Does the Nova Pink cover replace both PS5 side panels?
A: Yes. The set replaces both outer side panels on the original PS5 Standard console for a full colour change, not just a single faceplate. It is intended as a shell swap rather than an add-on that sits over the existing panels.
Q: Can I put the original console panels back on later?
A: Yes. The cover swaps on by removing the existing side panels, so the console can be returned to its original look later if the original pieces are kept. The change is cosmetic only and does not alter the console hardware.
Q: Will the cover block vents, ports, or the disc drive?
A: No. This cover is shaped to keep the PS5 Standard console's vents, rear ports and disc drive opening accessible after fitting. It changes the exterior finish, but it is not designed to change airflow, connectivity or disc access.
Q: Is this an official PlayStation shell or a third-party cover?
A: This is an official PlayStation console cover, made to fit the original PS5 Standard console rather than a generic universal shell. That matters for alignment and finish, but it still only changes appearance, not storage, speed or gameplay.
Q: Does the pink cover protect the console from drops and knocks?
A: No. This cover helps guard the factory shell from light marks during everyday use, but it is not sold as heavy-duty protection. It is a cosmetic replacement panel, so it should not be treated like a travel case or impact shell.
