it’s improved and bakes faster, with quicker frying times. It uses less power while cooking more effectively. The best part is steam cooking, which self-cleans, and finishing with the air-fry option gives the best overall steam-cooking experience

We bought the Philip XXL dual basket steam air fryer black in July 2026. We used it to cook many meals, including chicken schitnzel in one basket and chip, onion ring in the other basket at the same time. We also use it to cook beef sausage roll or sweet puff pastry like apple turnover ( don't use baking paper when cooking puff pastry in air fryer). Beside that, I can use steam function to steam pear, apple for our baby. And the self cleaning function makes it so easy to clean, no scrubbing required.

Really happy with this air fryer. The capacity is great for family cooking, and the dual baskets make it easy to cook two things at the same time. Food comes out crispy with very little oil, and the steam function is a really nice addition. Easy to use and saves a lot of time. Definitely recommend it.

This is our second Philips air fryer and both have been awesome. We upgraded to this one as our old one was too small. Have 2 sections has made a huge difference and I love the steam clean function. Would definitely recommend.

Best air fryer we have owned, easy to operate, haven’t had a failure yet. It would be good if a future model would have steam to both drawers, and the alarm sound is louder.

The smaller draw is handy, but has no steam or clean function, its just a small airfryer section. The steam x airfry function works well for dumplings. The cleaning function seems good. Overall it is quite large, and has a lot of steam poring out the vents at the bsck at times, so it does need a fair amount of space.

So far we've airfryed crumbed fish, roast potatoes, frozen chips, steamed veggies, & roasted brussels. Each one has turned out really well! I love the fact you can steam in one drawer and airfry in the other drawer at the same time! The drawers and drawer shelves are dishwasher safe (on the top shelf only) which is awesome, but they do take up a lot of space though. I'm very glad I bought a large capacity airfryer so I can cook everything I need for dinner in it!

The Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Steam Airfryer is a versatile 9 L XXL air fryer for families and busy home cooks who want to prepare two foods at the same time. Its standout strengths are dual-basket flexibility, added steam cooking and easier cleanup with steam cleaning. A fair trade-off is that its larger footprint makes it less suited to compact kitchens.
Its XXL dual-basket design offers strong flexibility, but it will take up more bench space than smaller single-basket air fryers.
Large families or households cooking multiple components in one go
9/10 - air frying with up to 90% less fat plus steam cooking supports lighter everyday meals
8/10 - steam cleaning support and dishwasher-safe removable parts make maintenance easier
5/10 - the XXL dual-basket format is practical for capacity, but less ideal for smaller benchtops
Beginner-friendly with enough flexibility for experienced home cooks
A: No. This model has two baskets, but only one is equipped for steaming. That means you can steam or use air plus steam in one basket, while the second basket is used for air frying, baking, roasting or grilling.
A: The 9 litre total capacity is designed for larger batches or a two-part meal cooked at once. In practical terms, it suits family-size portions better than compact airfryers, with space to separate mains and sides across the two baskets.
A: Yes. The dual basket design is built for cooking two separate ingredients at the same time, with Philips stating they can be ready simultaneously. It is useful for meals like protein in one basket and vegetables or chips in the other.
A: The key difference is that one basket can steam as well as air fry, which helps keep foods more tender and evenly cooked. It suits items that can dry out or catch on the edges in dry hot air alone, such as fish or dumplings.
A: Not in the same way as dry air frying alone. Steam is better for moisture retention and a softer, refined texture, while the crispiest finish comes from the RapidAir Plus air frying mode. This model is strongest when balancing browning and tenderness.
