Making Brushing Fun
A big hit with my 3.5yo it makes brushing so much fun and she loves that her toothbrush now charges like mums and dads. Great reminders for time to swap sides and love the 2min total counter. It really helps us focus on making sure we are getting it right.

Best children's brush I've ever bought
I purchased these rechargable brushes for my children as they never brushed for long enough. We had tried timers and rewards but it never had long-term success. These brushes have 3 lights on the back and they illuminate another every 30 seconds so you easily know how long they have brushed. They are gentle and come with 2 brush heads (2 different sizes). My children enjoy the melody at the end when they've reached 2 minutes brushing. We've had them for 4 weeks, brushing twice a day and so far not yet needed a recharge! Oh and the travel caps are a cute inclusion.

Things to consider
It offers strong everyday guidance and battery life, but it is less configurable than premium smart toothbrushes and only works with Ordo Squishmallows Recharge Brush Heads.
Family suitability
Best for households with children aged 4+ who want a fun, guided toothbrush that supports independent brushing.
Orthodontic compatibility
Suitable for general use, but not specifically promoted as an orthodontic toothbrush for braces or other dental appliances.
Gum care effectiveness
8/10 - soft bristles and a gentler training mode make it well suited to young or sensitive gums.
Travel friendliness
8/10 - up to 5 weeks of battery life and USB-C charging are travel-friendly, though it is not a compact travel-specific model.
Ease of use score
9/10 - simple controls, clear timer feedback and an ergonomic handle make it easy for kids and parents to use.
Key benefits
- Sonic cleaning: Helps children get a more thorough daily clean than a manual brush while staying gentle with soft bristles.
- Three brushing modes: Training, Clean and Power modes make it easier to match brushing intensity to different ages and sensitivity levels.
- 2-minute timer: Guides kids through the dentist-recommended brushing time to support more consistent routines.
- 30-second pacing cues: Audio and progress guidance help children move around the mouth more evenly during each brushing cycle.
- Soft bristles: Gentle on small teeth and gums, making it more comfortable for younger users.
- Rechargeable battery: Lasts up to 5 weeks between charges, so it needs less frequent charging for everyday family use.
- USB-C charging: Simple modern charging connection that is convenient for home use and packing for trips.
- Kid-friendly ergonomic handle: Designed for little hands to improve grip and make self-brushing easier.
Q: Does this toothbrush only fit Ordo Squishmallows replacement brush heads?
A: Yes. This model is only listed as compatible with Ordo Squishmallows Recharge Brush Heads. If you want broader replacement-head choice, that limitation is worth factoring in before buying.
Q: Can kids move to a stronger mode as they get older?
A: Yes. The three modes let you start with a gentler setting and move up as brushing confidence builds. It is still a kids toothbrush, so it is designed for younger mouths rather than adult-style brushing intensity.
Q: How long does the battery last in each brushing mode?
A: Battery life varies by mode. It lasts up to 12 weeks in Training Mode, 6 or more weeks in Clean Mode, and up to 5 weeks in Power Mode between charges, so stronger cleaning means more frequent charging.
Q: Will the timer help kids brush all areas evenly?
A: Yes. The 2 minute timer uses audio and haptic feedback to coach brushing, which helps children keep moving around the mouth instead of stopping early. It guides timing, but it is not an app-based brushing tracker.
Q: Is this Ordo kids brush suitable for children with braces?
A: It is suitable for general daily brushing, but it is not specifically promoted as an orthodontic toothbrush for braces or other dental appliances. If braces are the main need, a more specialised brush may suit better.
Q: Does it use USB-C charging or a proprietary charger?
A: It charges by USB-C rather than a proprietary dock, which makes it easier to top up with a common cable type. This page does not position it as a fast-charging model, so buy it for convenience rather than charging speed.
