Floss
These Oral B brush heads are fantastic to clean your teeth with. The floss action is one of the best brush heads I have found and use everyday to minimise plaque on your teeth. I've been using these for quite a few years now.

Floss action replacement brushes
I liked the idea of these brushes heads as a replacement for my regular ones, but they are way too harsh for my sensitive teeth and I only used them for a week as it hurt my gums.

At a glance
The Oral B Floss Action Replacement Brush Head 3pk is a practical refill pack for households using compatible Oral B rechargeable round-head toothbrush handles. It suits everyday users who want better between-tooth cleaning, simple replacement reminders and individual heads for multiple people. Key strengths are plaque-focused floss action bristles and broad handle compatibility. A limitation is that these heads do not fit Oral B iO or Pulsonic models.

Things to consider
These replacement heads are a good everyday option, but they are not compatible with Oral B iO or Pulsonic handles and may offer fewer specialised cleaning options than premium brush head ranges.
Family suitability
Good for shared households with multiple compatible Oral B rechargeable handles
Orthodontic compatibility
Not specifically designed for orthodontic care; users with braces may prefer a specialist orthodontic brush head
Gum care effectiveness
7/10 - suitable for everyday cleaning, but not a dedicated sensitive or gum-care brush head
Travel friendliness
7/10 - compact replacement heads are easy to pack, though this is mainly a home refill pack
Ease of use score
9/10 - simple snap-on replacement design with colour fade reminder for easier upkeep
Key benefits
- Floss Action Bristles: Designed to reach between teeth for deeper cleaning in hard-to-reach spaces.
- Yellow Replacement Indicator: Bristles turn yellow to help signal when the brush head should be changed.
- 3-Pack Format: Includes three replacement heads, making it convenient for shared household use or stocking up.
- Compatible With Many Oral B Handles: Fits Vitality and many Pro rechargeable round-head handles for flexible use.
- Round-Head Support: Works with Oral B oscillating rotating cleaning action to help target plaque thoroughly.
- Individual Use Planning: With each head typically lasting about 3 months for one user, the pack can cover up to 9 months of use for one person.
- Household Convenience: Allows multiple people using compatible handles to keep separate brush heads.
Q: Will these fit my Oral-B rechargeable handle at home
A: These heads fit most Oral-B rechargeable round-head handles, including Vitality and many Pro models. They do not fit Oral-B iO or Pulsonic toothbrushes, so check the handle range before ordering replacements.
Q: Are Floss Action heads a softer option for sensitive mouths
A: No. Floss Action bristles are designed for deeper between-tooth cleaning, so the brush feel may be firmer than softer everyday head styles. If you prefer a gentler feel, a softer Oral-B replacement head may suit better.
Q: Can one 3-pack cover separate users in a shared bathroom
A: Yes. The pack includes 3 replacement brushes, so it suits households where different people use compatible Oral-B round-head handles. It is a practical stock-up, but it is not a universal fit across the whole Oral-B range.
Q: How do you tell when a brush head needs replacing
A: Indicator bristles on each head turn yellow as the brush wears, giving a simple visual cue that it is time to change. That is useful if replacement timing tends to slip, because the wear marker is on the head itself.
Q: Do these clean between teeth or mainly polish the surface
A: These heads are designed for between-tooth cleaning as well as everyday surface cleaning. Floss Action bristles reach into tighter gaps, and the compatible handle's oscillating rotating action supports broader plaque removal across the tooth.
Q: Are these a specialist brush head for braces or gum care
A: No. Oral-B FlossAction is a general cleaning replacement head, not a specialist orthodontic or sensitive-care design. If you want a head aimed specifically at braces or a softer brushing feel, choose a more targeted head style.
