Oralb toothbrush replacement
I bought this toothbrush as a replacement for the same product (as my old one no longer held its charge). Great toothbrush for the price.

At a glance
The Oral B Vitality+ Power Brush Floss Action is a rechargeable electric toothbrush for adults and older children who want a deeper clean than a manual brush. Its key strengths are interdental cleaning, a simple one-mode design and a built-in 2 minute timer. A fair limitation is that it offers only one cleaning mode, so it is less customisable than premium models.
What it’s great for
- Daily plaque removal
- Upgrading from a manual toothbrush
- Cleaning between teeth
- Simple everyday oral care
Where it works best
- Home bathroom
- Family bathroom
- Everyday travel
- Shared household routines
Who it’s for
- Adults
- Older children
- First-time electric toothbrush users
- Value-focused oral care buyers
Things to consider
This model keeps things simple with one Daily Clean mode, so it does not offer the extra modes, pressure feedback or smart coaching found on more premium electric toothbrushes.
Family suitability
Suitable for adults and children over 3; best for households wanting a simple shared Oral B refill ecosystem.
Orthodontic compatibility
6/10 - can support general cleaning around teeth, but it is not a specialist orthodontic brush head for braces.
Gum care effectiveness
7/10 - provides a thorough everyday clean and plaque removal, though it lacks a dedicated sensitive or gum care mode.
Travel friendliness
7/10 - compact and rechargeable with up to 8 days battery life, but no travel case is specified.
Ease of use score
9/10 - very simple one-mode operation, built-in timer and visible brush head wear indicator make it easy for most users.
Key benefits
- Floss Action brush head: MicroPulse bristles help clean between teeth for a deeper feel than a regular manual toothbrush.
- Round dentist-inspired head: The compact round head surrounds each tooth for focused everyday cleaning.
- 2 minute timer: Guides users through the dentist-recommended brushing time to support better brushing habits.
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery: Delivers up to 8 days of use per charge for less frequent recharging.
- One Daily Clean mode: Keeps operation straightforward and easy for users who want a simple brushing routine.
- Brush head replacement reminder bristles: Green bristles fade to yellow to show when it is time to change the brush head.
- Refill compatibility: Works with Oral B oscillating and rotating refill heads except iO refills, giving users flexible replacement options.
- Compact charger-included setup: Easy to keep on the bathroom bench and simple to recharge at home.
Q: Is the Oral-B Vitality+ Power Brush Floss Action a good choice if I want a simple electric toothbrush?
A: Yes. Oral-B Vitality+ Power Brush Floss Action uses one Daily Clean mode, so there is no need to cycle through extra settings. The trade-off is less customisation than Oral-B handles designed for buyers who want multiple brushing modes.
Q: Can I use different Oral-B replacement heads with this toothbrush?
A: Yes. This handle works with Oral-B oscillating and rotating replacement heads, except the iO range. That gives you flexibility to change head style later without replacing the brush itself, provided you stay within Oral-B's non-iO head system.
Q: Does the FlossAction brush head replace flossing?
A: No. The FlossAction head is designed to loosen plaque and sweep away debris, but it does not replace floss or interdental cleaners where teeth sit tightly together. It is best treated as a brushing head with added reach, not a full floss substitute.
Q: How does the pressure sensor help in everyday use?
A: The pressure sensor helps protect gums by stopping the pulsations when brushing force is too high. That gives a clear cue to ease off without ending the brushing session, which can be useful when moving from a manual toothbrush to a powered handle.
Q: Is this toothbrush suitable for travel or keeping at a second bathroom?
A: Yes, for short trips or occasional use away from home. Oral-B Vitality+ Power Brush Floss Action runs for up to 8 days on a single charge, so you may not need the charger every night. It is not a travel edition, and no travel case is included here.
Q: Is this model suitable for older children or teens?
A: Yes, for older children or teens who can use a standard round brush head. The timer and single-mode operation keep it easy to use, but it is not a smaller training brush designed specifically for very young children or toddlers.
