Things to consider
A premium fixed-style laptop holder is great for cleaner desk ergonomics, but it may offer less height and angle adjustment than specialist articulated or fully adjustable ergonomic stands.
Home office suitability
9/10 - excellent fit for everyday desk setups focused on comfort, presentation and organisation.
Gaming compatibility score
6/10 - useful for casual gaming or chat setups, but dedicated gaming stands may offer more aggressive cooling or adjustability.
Student use fit
8/10 - a strong choice for students with a fixed study desk who want better screen positioning and a tidier workspace.
Device compatibility range
Best suited to most mainstream laptops and ultraportables used on a desk.
Plug-and-play simplicity
Very simple - a non-powered accessory that is easy to place and use straight away.
Key benefits
- Raised Viewing Position: helps bring the screen to a more comfortable line of sight for desk-based work.
- Desk Organisation: creates a cleaner setup by giving your laptop a dedicated place on the desk.
- Premium Build Feel: suits modern workspaces with a more refined look than basic plastic holders.
- Compact Footprint: supports a tidier workspace without taking over the desk.
- Everyday Stability: provides a secure platform for regular laptop use at a desk.
- Simple Setup: ready to use quickly without complex installation or tools.
- Workstation Pairing: works well alongside an external keyboard and mouse for a more comfortable desktop workflow.
Q: Can the One For All Premium Laptop Holder be used with monitor arms from other brands?
A: Yes, it can work with other brands if the monitor arm has a VESA-compatible mounting point. It is designed for all One For All monitor arms, but the key requirement for wider compatibility is a matching VESA mount.
Q: Will this holder fit most laptops, or is it only for smaller models?
A: It is made as a universal laptop holder with adjustable clamps, so it suits a range of laptop widths rather than one fixed size. The holder itself measures 30.4 x 3.9 x 22.7 cm, so compare those dimensions with your device before buying.
Q: How does this holder help keep a laptop secure on a monitor arm?
A: It uses a safety ledge to stop the laptop slipping forward and adjustable clamps to hold it in place. Non-toxic silicone padding adds grip and helps protect the laptop surface, which matters when the holder is raised to eye level.
Q: Does the One For All Premium Laptop Holder help with laptop cooling?
A: Yes, its open design allows more air circulation around the laptop than sitting flat on a desk. That can help reduce heat build-up during normal use, but it is not a powered cooling stand and does not include fans.
Q: Is this a good option if you want to free up desk space?
A: Yes, this holder is designed to mount a laptop on a monitor arm so the desk surface underneath stays clearer. It is most useful in compact workspaces where lifting the laptop off the desk improves usable space and screen position.
