At a glance
This premium semi-integrated dishwasher is ideal for larger households wanting strong daily performance, flexible loading and quieter operation. Its XXL cavity, 3D MultiFlex tray and AutoDos with PowerDisk make mixed loads easier to manage, while QuickPowerWash adds speed for everyday use. A key limitation is that external door panels are not included, so custom cabinetry work may be needed.

Ease of use rating
9/10 - automatic detergent dispensing, flexible racks, delay start and app connectivity make everyday use straightforward
Key benefits
- 15 place settings: handles larger meal loads well, making it a strong fit for families or frequent entertainers.
- XXL cavity: gives extra vertical space for taller plates, larger bowls and bulkier cookware.
- 3D MultiFlex tray: improves cutlery and small-item organisation while freeing more room in the lower baskets.
- QuickPowerWash: cleans and dries moderately soiled dishes in 58 minutes for faster everyday turnaround.
- AutoDos with PowerDisk: automatically meters detergent to reduce guesswork and simplify day-to-day operation.
- 42 dBA noise level: keeps operation quiet enough for open-plan homes and evening use.
- 6 star WELS rating: uses 9.6 L per wash on the Eco program to help manage water consumption.
- Miele@home connectivity: allows remote monitoring and control for added convenience.
Q: Does this semi-integrated dishwasher come with the door panel included?
A: No. This G 7609 SCi XXL is sold as a semi-integrated model and the door panel is not included. That means it is designed to take a matching cabinet front, while the control area remains visible on the front of the dishwasher.
Q: What does the XXL design change compared with a standard Miele dishwasher?
A: The XXL cavity gives extra vertical space, which is useful for taller plates, larger bowls and bulkier cookware. It suits kitchens planned for an XXL integrated dishwasher, so cavity and panel dimensions should be confirmed before ordering.
Q: How does AutoDos with PowerDisk work in everyday use?
A: AutoDos stores detergent in the integrated PowerDisk and dispenses it automatically during the wash cycle. It reduces the need to add detergent every load, but the dishwasher still relies on compatible PowerDisk refills for that automatic dosing feature.
Q: Is the QuickPowerWash program suitable for heavily soiled pots and pans?
A: No. QuickPowerWash is best for moderately soiled dishes and is designed to deliver cleaning and drying in 58 minutes. For baked-on residue or very dirty cookware, a longer intensive-style program is usually the better choice.
Q: What can the 3D MultiFlex tray and ExtraComfort baskets fit better than a basic basket layout?
A: The 3D MultiFlex tray is designed to free up lower basket space by giving cutlery its own level, while ExtraComfort baskets help with glasses and reusable bottles. This layout is better suited to mixed loads than a simpler cutlery basket setup.
Q: How quiet is 42 dB in real use?
A: At 42 dB, this model is in the quiet dishwasher range and is generally suited to open-plan kitchens. In practice, it is closer to low background room noise than a typical conversation, so cycle sound is present but not usually intrusive.
