Q: What does built-under mean on this Miele dishwasher?
A: Miele G 7604 SCU CLST is a built-under dishwasher, so it fits beneath a benchtop with the control fascia still visible. It suits kitchens where the appliance finish remains on show, rather than a fully integrated look behind matching cabinetry.
Q: Do you need PowerDisk refills for AutoDos to work?
A: Yes. AutoDos uses a PowerDisk for automatic detergent dispensing, so that convenience depends on having a PowerDisk fitted. If you do not want refill-based automatic dosing, this model's key convenience feature will be less useful in day-to-day use.
Q: Is 42 dB quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen?
A: Yes. Miele G 7604 SCU CLST runs at 42 dB, which is suited to open-plan kitchens and evening cycles, and it also includes an ExtraQuiet 37 dB(A) programme. Longer, lower-noise cycles can trade speed for reduced sound.
Q: Can the racks handle bottles, wine glasses and bulky utensils?
A: Yes. The 3D MultiFlex tray and Extra comfort basket design include FlexCare glass holders, a cup rack, bottle support and XL Assist for mixed loads. Very tall or awkward items can still reduce space elsewhere, so load shape matters as much as place settings.
Q: What is the Hygiene programme useful for on daily loads?
A: The Hygiene programme suits loads where a more intensive, hygienic wash is preferred, such as bottles or heavily handled everyday items. It is less about speed, so lightly soiled dishes may be better suited to Automatic, ECO or QuickPowerWash instead.
Q: Can you control this dishwasher from the Miele app?
A: Yes. Miele G 7604 SCU CLST supports Miele@home for remote monitoring and control through the app. If you prefer using the front controls only, connectivity is optional and does not change the dishwasher's core wash programmes or basket layout.
