- 12-Month Battery Life: Reduces the need for frequent battery changes.
- Reliable Wireless Range: Operates up to 10 metres from the receiver.

Q: Does the Logitech M185 work with Mac, Chromebook and Linux, or is it just for Windows?
A: Yes. The M185 supports Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10, Mac OS X 10.5 or later, Chrome OS and Linux kernel 2.6+. It connects through the included USB receiver, so your device needs a spare USB port rather than Bluetooth-only pairing.
Q: Does the Logitech M185 use Bluetooth, or does it need a USB receiver?
A: It needs the included USB receiver. The M185 uses 2.4 GHz wireless rather than Bluetooth, so it will occupy one USB port on your computer. That is worth checking if your laptop has limited ports or only USB-C without an adaptor.
Q: Is the Logitech M185 a good size for travel and everyday laptop use?
A: Yes. The mouse measures 99 x 60 x 39 mm and weighs 75.2 g including the battery, so it is compact enough for a laptop bag. It is better suited to portable everyday use than buyers wanting a larger full-hand desktop mouse.
Q: Is the Logitech M185 suitable for left-handed users?
A: Yes. The M185 has a simple ambidextrous shape that is designed to be comfortable for both left and right-handed use. Its 3-button layout keeps operation straightforward, but it does not add extra side buttons for thumb-based shortcuts.
Q: Is the 1000 dpi sensor on the Logitech M185 good enough for work and study?
A: Yes. The 1000 dpi optical sensor is well suited to everyday tasks like browsing, spreadsheets, documents and general study use. It is not a variable-DPI gaming mouse, so buyers wanting sensitivity switching may prefer a more advanced model.
Q: How reliable is the wireless connection on the Logitech M185 in normal use?
A: The M185 uses 2.4 GHz wireless with an operating distance of about 10 metres in typical use. That is suitable for desk, lounge or meeting-room control, but walls, metal surfaces and crowded wireless environments can reduce effective range.
