⭐ 1/5 Stars — Absolutely Appalling Customer Service. Never Again. I cannot begin to express how frustrating and unacceptable our experience with The Good Guys has been. We purchased a brand-new LG washing machine that DID NOT WORK FROM DAY ONE. From the very first use, it displayed an OE drainage error and was completely unusable. While the washing machine was finally repaired this week, the experience of actually getting someone to take responsibility and help us was nothing short of a nightmare. The most infuriating part wasn’t even receiving a defective appliance. It was the complete lack of customer service and accountability that followed. Trying to get assistance was an absolute circus. We were bounced between departments, passed from one person to another, and left trying to figure out who was actually responsible for resolving the issue. Rather than having someone take ownership of the problem, we were forced to navigate a ridiculous and unnecessarily complicated process just to get a BRAND-NEW appliance functioning. For a retailer of this size, the lack of coordination, communication, and basic customer support is genuinely astonishing. We were even told this was a known issue, yet obtaining the necessary part involved further delays. Meanwhile, we were left without a working washing machine despite having paid for a brand-new one. Why should a customer have to chase multiple departments and fight to get assistance for a product that was defective the moment it arrived? The fact that the machine was eventually repaired does not excuse the horrendous service leading up to it. A repair is the absolute bare minimum, not some extraordinary act of customer service deserving of praise. The Good Guys had an opportunity to turn an unfortunate product defect into a positive customer service experience. Instead, they demonstrated just how difficult, disorganised, and exhausting their after-sales support can be. If this is how The Good Guys handles a brand-new appliance that has never worked, I would hate to see how they treat customers with problems outside the initial purchase period. We have three young children and rely on having a functioning washing machine. This entire ordeal caused completely unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and wasted time. The washer may finally be working, but The Good Guys have permanently lost our business. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a major appliance here to think twice. A competitive price means absolutely nothing when the after-sales service is this atrocious. Absolutely unacceptable. Never again.
