How to book a service
At The Good Guys Home Services, we understand the trust you’ve placed in us to provide you with high quality workmanship, and also the need to get your home installation done quickly and easily. Read our customer guide and understand how your home installation will be completed.
You can add many of our installation services from the cart. We’ll assign your installation to our trusted professionals for completion after your product is delivered. If you need any variations in home, we can vary your scope for additional fees in home.
You can request any of our services by completing the relevant form. We’ll then quote that service up for you and send you a link for payment to finalise your booking.
When in store speak with our specialist about your installation needs. Once a service is purchased, we will arrange for a professional installer to attend your home, and you will receive a booking confirmation with all the details about the service and installer attending site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Home installations online
When buying an installation online, your delivery and installation will be on separate days. For product updates please review your job tracker here or contact the store on your order confirmation email. You can also use the job tracker to request a change to the scheduled date. Prior to installation your installer will contact you to confirm your product is onsite ready for installation.
Yes you can, just ensure when you check out in the cart with the installation it is your preferred delivery address.
You will receive a confirmation email from The Good Guys Home Services. This will include your job number which you can now log into your job tracker page that allows you to:
Change install date
Contact your installer through messages
Find your installer's name and Phone number
Once your installation has been completed your certificates of compliance will also be in here if required
Each job is different and while the vast majority of installations can be completed within the stated price and scope (as recorded in your confirmation). Some jobs however, require us to vary the scope to meet your requirements or manage site specific variations. Where that occurs, your installer will notify you in advance and will not proceed without your prior approval and payment. We try to identify any variations as early as possible so there’s no surprises. To make payment for these charges you will receive an email or SMS with a secure payment link.
There are two ways you can change your installation date.
Log in to your job tracker page here and update the date you need to change it to and the installer will confirm this date by calling you.
Your installers phone number is available on the job tracker page and you can simply call them.
Try calling the installer directly and if that has not been successful call the home installation team on 1300 748 190 and they will assist further.
These things do happen, but we do need 24hrs notice or you may have to pay a revisit fee, simply call your installer directly and let them know.
There can be a delay in the processing of your online installation, and these are processed 7 days a week between 9am to 6pm.
The installer once on site can perform extra work if they are qualified for the work, for example an electrician can install extra power points in the home. Whilst the installer is in your home they can advise the extra charges and take payment.
If you have provided your mobile number we will send you a text message to advise the installer is on his/her way. We also provide confirmation emails and messages once your installation booking is confirmed.
The Good Guys’ privacy policy (available at https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/privacy-policy) contains information about how The Good Guys will handle your personal information, and other information required to be disclosed to you under the Privacy Act.
You sure can! As long as it meets the standard criteria, for example the payment is between $20 - $1,000, you can use LatitudePay to purchase it. Check out The Good Guys Home Services here.
For customers who purchased a service or installation prior to June 24 th 2019
Exciting news! In June 2019 The Good Guys Home Services system platform was upgraded – making it easier for customers to manage their service and installations bookings. The old system platform has now been closed down.
In most cases you will not need to do anything – as we will automatically switch you to the new system platform! To access your existing booking head to your JOB TRACKER, and be sure to have your Work Order Number and registered Mobile handy to log in!
If you received confirmation after June 24 th via email or text, then you should find your Work Order number there. If you can’t find it, no worries! Just email your details to support@hsnetwork.com.au and we’ll help you access the new JOB TRACKER.
If you require access to the information stored on the old system (ie: a service or installation purchased prior to June 24 th 2019), please email your request with you reservation ID and details to support@hsnetwork.com.au.
