Best I've tried
Perfect for the tricky part of the stairs (guests used to trip) and in the walk throught robe to the bathroom during the night, also on the floor in the guest bedroom to give light before reaching the lightswitch 5 metres away. I even take one with me on holidays, to make it safe to get up during the night in an unfamiliar room. Also great in my caravan. These provide the best light, a big improvement upon others I have tried.

Perfect timing
It lights up with motion for perfect small duration I need it for. I would love it to be in warm white colour.. also I think the price is a bit high, but I bought using my store cash so didn’t pinch my pocket.

At a glance
The Evol Rechargeable LED Strip Light is a slim, cordless light for small storage and task-lighting areas such as cupboards, wardrobes and shelves. It suits households wanting easy installation, motion-activated convenience and Apple HomeKit support. Its key strengths are portability, hands-free use and discreet fit. The main limitation is its modest brightness, which is better for focused lighting than large-area illumination.

- Cabinet Lighting
- Wardrobe Lighting
- Under-Shelf Task Lighting
- Cupboard Illumination
- Small-Space Accent Lighting
Where it works best
- Kitchen Cabinets
- Wardrobes
- Cupboards

Who it’s for
- Apartment Dweller

Things to consider
Its 135 lumen output is best for compact zones and task lighting, so it will not light larger rooms or long work areas as effectively as higher-output strip lights.
Child suitability
Suitable for general household use in family spaces, but best installed out of reach of very young children.
Energy efficiency score
8/10 - low-output LED design and rechargeable operation suit light-duty, short-duration household use.
Portability rating
9/10 - rechargeable cordless design is easy to move between cupboards, shelves and small work areas.
Brightness vs category average
6/10 - 135 lumens is solid for compact cabinets and wardrobes, but below stronger strip lights intended for broader coverage.
Ease of use score
9/10 - motion activation, cordless placement and smart home support make it simple for everyday use.

- 135 Lumen Output: Delivers focused brightness for cupboards, wardrobes and cabinet task lighting.
- Apple HomeKit Compatibility: Supports smart control as part of a connected home setup.

Q: Is 135 lumens enough for a wardrobe or under-shelf space?
A: Yes. The EV372RC's 135-lumen output suits close-range jobs such as wardrobes, cupboards and under-shelf task areas. It is better for focused lighting in compact sections than for lighting a full room or a long benchtop on its own.
Q: Does the motion sensor work well for stairs or hallways at night?
A: Yes, for short sections. Motion sensing makes the EV372RC useful on stairs, in a robe walkway or near a bed where you want light to come on automatically, but its 324mm size is intended for local guidance rather than lighting a whole hallway.
Q: Do I need a hub to use Apple HomeKit with this light?
A: No. EV372RC is listed as Apple HomeKit compatible and does not require a hub, so it can suit buyers who want simple smart control without adding extra hardware. HomeKit control still depends on having a compatible Apple setup.
Q: Can this strip light be dimmed for softer night lighting?
A: Yes. The light is listed as dimmable, which is useful if the full output feels too bright in a wardrobe, robe or beside a bed. It still has a white light colour only, so it is not the right choice if you specifically want a warm white tone.
Q: Will the 324mm length fit inside smaller cupboards or cabinets?
A: Yes, in many compact spots. The strip itself is 324mm long, so it suits smaller cupboards, short shelves and tighter cabinet sections where a longer strip could overhang. Measure the flat mounting area first if space is very tight.
Q: Is this rechargeable strip light suitable for caravans or holiday stays?
A: Yes. The rechargeable cordless design makes EV372RC handy in caravans, guest rooms or holiday stays where a power point may not be close by. It is still a compact strip light, so it suits local task or access lighting rather than replacing a main room light.
