At a glance
The Evol Rechargeable LED Toilet Night Light is a compact, USB-charged guide light designed to make night-time bathroom visits less disruptive. It suits family homes, ensuites and renters wanting easy, wire-free installation. Key strengths are simple attachment, rechargeable use and gentle lighting. Its main limitation is that it provides only a small amount of light, so it is not a substitute for full bathroom lighting.
What it’s great for
- Night-time bathroom visits
- Family bathrooms
- Ensuites
- Rental homes
- Gentle overnight guidance
Where it works best
- Family bathroom
- Ensuite
- Guest bathroom
- Apartment
- Rental property
Who it’s for
- Families

- Anyone wanting simple overnight bathroom lighting
Things to consider
This light is designed as a soft guide light only, so it will not deliver the coverage or brightness of larger premium night lights or full bathroom lighting.
Child suitability
Suitable for family bathrooms; best used as a supervised household night light rather than a child-specific sleep light.
Energy efficiency score
8/10 - LED light source and rechargeable operation avoid disposable battery waste, though no quantified power rating is provided.
Portability rating
9/10 - compact, rechargeable and wire-free, making it easy to move or reposition as needed.
Brightness vs category average
4/10 - positioned for gentle guidance rather than strong room lighting, so brightness is below many general-purpose night lights.
Ease of use score
9/10 - easy to charge by USB and simple to attach, with no permanent installation required.
Key benefits
- Rechargeable USB Power: Recharges by USB cable, so there are no disposable batteries to keep replacing.
- Wire-Free Use: Operates without being plugged in after charging, helping keep placement simple around the toilet.
- Soft LED Illumination: Provides gentle night-time visibility that is less disruptive than switching on the main bathroom light.
- Toilet-Mounted Design: Attaches easily to the toilet for targeted light where it is needed during overnight visits.
- Compact Form: Small design suits bathrooms, ensuites and apartments where space is limited.
- Rental-Friendly Setup: Adds practical bathroom lighting without permanent electrical installation.
- Low-Disruption Lighting: Helps guide quick bathroom trips at night while keeping the room feeling calmer and less harshly lit.
- 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Adds longer-term peace of mind for everyday household use.
Q: Is this toilet light bright enough for the whole bathroom at night
A: No. Evol EV373 is designed to give gentle visibility around the toilet area, not to light the whole bathroom. It suits quick overnight visits when the main light feels too disruptive, but broader bathroom tasks still need the main light.
Q: Does the Evol EV373 need wiring or permanent installation
A: No. Evol EV373 charges by USB cable and then works wire-free, so it does not need electrical installation near the toilet. That makes it suitable for renters or anyone wanting added light without changing the bathroom setup.
Q: Do you need to replace batteries in this night light
A: No. Evol EV373 uses rechargeable power, so there are no disposable batteries to keep replacing. It charges by USB cable, and once charged it can be attached to the toilet for cordless use around the bathroom.
Q: Can it be moved between an ensuite and guest bathroom
A: Yes. Evol EV373 is compact and works wire-free after charging, so it can be repositioned if needed. It suits homes wanting a simple guide light in different bathrooms, rather than a fixed lighting setup in one spot only.
Q: Is this a good option for kids using the toilet at night
A: Yes. Evol EV373 gives a soft guide light around the toilet area, which suits family bathrooms where bright overhead lighting can be disruptive at night. It is still a convenience light only, not a replacement for full bathroom lighting.
