Good vacuum
Good stick vacuum for the price. Only negative is that the dirt container doesn’t click on well and sometimes falls open.

Incredible suction, no tangled hair, and great battery!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am absolutely loving my Electrolux Series 800 (EFP81812W). The suction power is incredible on both carpets and hard floors. My absolute favourite feature is the automatic hair-cutting mechanism on the brush roll. It works perfectly and saves so much time! Practically speaking, the battery life is very good and easily lasts for a full house clean. The filtration is also top-tier—the filters keep the air clean and I get zero foul smells or dusty odours while using it. Highly recommend buying this from The Good Guys!

Heavy and inefficient
Not impressed with weight and power ... On top of that showing errors in the first usage. Figured out it was dirty filter(changed it), now the battery is dead. I own a small three bed house. My 5 yo Bosch never gave up on me. Stupid me thought I upgrade just cuz. Bad choice. Maybe my unit is faulty, however I would not recommend it ...

At a glance
The Electrolux Series 800 Cordless Vacuum is a lightweight stick vacuum for everyday multi-surface cleaning in small to medium homes. Its strengths are long up-to-60-minute runtime, easy handheld conversion and strong dust filtration for routine cleaning. It suits households wanting convenience and manoeuvrability, but the 0.4L bin means larger homes may need more frequent emptying.

Who it’s for
- Apartment dwellers
- Small family households
- Busy households
- Convenience-focused users
- Allergy-conscious users
- Drivers wanting a handheld vacuum
Things to consider
The 0.4L dust bin is relatively small compared with some larger or premium cordless vacuums, so it may need more frequent emptying during bigger cleaning sessions.
Pet hair performance score
5/10 - suitable for general debris on multiple surfaces, but it is not positioned as a pet-focused model and includes no pet-specific tool.
Carpet vs hard floor suitability
Best for mixed everyday cleaning on hard floors and low-pile carpets, with stronger suitability for routine multi-surface use than deep carpet cleaning.
Portability rating
9/10 - lightweight stick format, cordless operation and detachable handheld design make it easy to carry and manoeuvre.
Noise level vs category average
About average for a cordless stick vacuum - no low-noise claim is specified.
Allergy friendliness
8/10 - advanced 6-step filtration captures up to 99.9% of dust particles between 0.3 and 10 microns, which helps reduce dust recirculation.
Key benefits
- Up to 60-minute runtime: Gives enough cordless cleaning time for routine whole-home cleaning in small to medium homes on a single charge.
- PowerPro nozzle: Helps clean across multiple floor types without needing a separate main floorhead for everyday use.
- Grab & Go handheld design: Lets you quickly detach the handheld unit for stairs, upholstery and car interiors.
- Advanced 6-step filtration: Removes up to 99.9% of dust particles between 0.3 and 10 microns to help reduce dust recirculation while vacuuming.
- Multiple cyclone system: Helps maintain suction as dust builds up and reduces how often the filter needs attention.
- Bagless 0.4L bin: Keeps regular cleaning simple without needing replacement dust bags.
- 2.5-hour charging: Recharges relatively quickly between cleaning sessions.
- Wall-mountable storage: Keeps the vacuum stored neatly and ready to grab for quick cleaning jobs.
Q: How long does the battery last in normal stick vacuum use
A: Electrolux Series 800 Cordless Vacuum runs for up to 60 minutes on a single charge. In normal stick vacuum use, runtime will be lower than that headline figure, especially on tougher floors or stronger settings.
Q: Can this vacuum handle pet hair without being a pet model
A: Yes. The PowerPro multi-surface nozzle and handheld format make it suitable for routine pet hair pick-up on floors, furniture and stairs. It is not listed as a pet-specific model, so it is better for maintenance than deep pet-only cleans.
Q: Can it pick up wet spills or bathroom messes
A: No. This is a dry stick vacuum, not a wet and dry model, so it is designed for dust, crumbs and general floor debris only. Liquid spills and damp bathroom messes need to be handled separately to avoid damaging the vacuum.
Q: Is the 0.4L bin big enough for a full house clean
A: For a small to medium home, yes. The 0.4L bagless bin suits routine cordless cleaning without constant emptying, but a larger clean after pets, carpets or neglected rooms may need a mid-clean empty.
Q: Is this better for apartments or larger multi-level homes
A: It is better suited to apartments and small to medium homes. The lightweight cordless build and quick-release handheld unit make stairs and spot cleans easy, but the compact bin and cordless runtime are less ideal for large, intensive cleans.
Q: What tools come in the box for above-floor cleaning
A: Electrolux Series 800 Cordless Vacuum includes a dusting brush and crevice tool for shelves, corners and upholstery, plus an extra foam filter. It converts to a handheld for above-floor jobs, but no powered mini pet tool is listed in the box.
