At a glance
The Dimplex Heated Throw Charcoal is a soft electric throw made for one person who wants portable warmth on the couch or while resting in bed. It suits shared households, loungerooms and relaxed evening use, with nine heat settings, auto-off safety and a detachable controller for easier cleaning. Its main limitation is that it is a personal throw, not a full-size blanket for couples or whole-bed coverage.

Key benefits
- 9 Heat Settings: lets you fine-tune warmth more precisely for changing comfort needs.
- 130 x 180 cm Size: gives generous personal coverage for one person on a couch or over bedding.
- Flannel Material: feels soft and cosy for more comfortable everyday use.
- Detachable Control: makes it easier to move, store and clean the throw.
- Auto-Off Function: adds peace of mind during longer heating sessions.
- SensorSafe Monitoring: helps maintain controlled heating during use.
- Lightweight Design: makes it easier to carry between rooms and reposition as needed.
- Charcoal Colour: blends easily with most bedroom and living room decor.
Q: How much warmth control does the Dimplex Heated Throw Charcoal offer?
A: It offers 3 heat settings, so you can choose a lower setting for light warmth or a higher setting when the room is colder. That gives simpler control than fixed-heat throws and helps suit different comfort preferences across the day.
Q: What does SensorSafe technology do on this Dimplex heated throw?
A: SensorSafe is designed to add a safety layer by monitoring operation while the throw is heating. In practical use, that means more controlled warmth than a basic throw without this feature, especially if you want regular winter use on the couch.
Q: Is the Dimplex Heated Throw Charcoal better for the couch or for making the whole bed warm?
A: It is better suited to personal warmth on the couch or over the top of bedding, rather than heating an entire mattress area. If the goal is all-over bed warmth through the night, a fitted electric blanket is usually the better match.
Q: How is this Dimplex heated throw different from a Dimplex electric blanket?
A: A heated throw is designed for flexible, portable warmth while sitting or resting, whereas a Dimplex electric blanket is made for the bed and mattress area. This model suits shared spaces better, but it will not warm the whole bed like a blanket can.
