Clothes drier feature
This machine is powerful and quiet and has a built in feature that allows your nearby clothes horse to blow warm air to dry clothes much quicker.. bought this unit for my mothers downstairs granny flat lacks sunshine so the chance of mould is high this eliminates that problem and knowing it has a purifier feature.. made sense to me. Highly recommend

Workhorse
We got this for an open floor plan 2br house and it is all that’s needed. I love how clothes that didn’t finish drying on the line during the day can be finished off at night next to this. And wetsuits will dry in the winter during a rainy week! Stinky neoprene no more. Amazing.

Device Home Changer!
The difference this device makes to my queenslander style home in sustained periods of wet weather is phenominal. I move it from room to room on it's wheels with the thermostat set and it really does a great job of quietly pulling excess humidity from the air. I no longer experience the dank, mildewy smell, cupboards and their contents stay fresh and washing can finish drying off inside the house with no need for a clothes dryer.

Better than expected
I bought this to lower the humidity in our unit. I was surprised at just how much moisture it took out. It was very simple to connect to the wifi and the app easy to use. The only downside is the continuous hose could be longer (about 1m).

Its advanced multi-stage filtration system helps reduce allergens and bacteria, while the 25L daily capacity suits demanding Australian homes. Q: Is this dehumidifier suitable for an open-plan living area?
A: Yes. This DeLonghi model is designed for spaces up to 100m3, so it suits larger living areas better than compact units. In very open layouts, it works best when doors and windows are closed so moisture is not constantly re-entering.
Q: Can it run continuously without emptying the water tank?
A: Yes. The DeLonghi DDSX225WF has a 5L tank for regular use and a continuous drain hose option for longer sessions. Continuous drainage is the better fit for very damp rooms where the tank would otherwise need more frequent emptying.
Q: Will it help dry laundry indoors during wet weather?
A: Yes. DeLonghi states this model can dry laundry up to 50% faster when clothes are placed nearby indoors. It is useful in a laundry or spare room, but it is not a heated tumble dryer and works best in an enclosed space.
Q: Does the air purification function replace a standalone air purifier?
A: No. This model includes a dust filter and BioSilver filter while it dehumidifies, so it helps clean the air as part of moisture control. It is still a dehumidifier first, not a dedicated purifier for every air-cleaning need.
Q: How noisy is it for bedroom or overnight use?
A: The DDSX225WF is a higher-capacity unit, so it is not as discreet as a small dehumidifier. It can suit overnight use for some rooms, but light sleepers may prefer a lower fan speed and a bit of distance from the bed.
Q: Can you control it away from home with the app?
A: Yes. Wi-Fi lets you control the unit through the DeLonghi Comfort app, and it also works with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Remote control is convenient for changing settings before you get home, but the unit still needs power and drainage set up.
Q: Why is my dehumidifier not collecting much water at first?
A: Low water collection usually means the room is already closer to the target humidity, the space is larger or more open, or fresh humid air keeps entering. This model removes moisture most effectively in enclosed rooms with doors and windows shut.
