At a glance
The Cygnett Samsung Tab A8 10.5" Screen Guard is a practical add-on for protecting your tablet display from day-to-day wear, light scratches and marks. It suits students, home users and families who want affordable screen protection while keeping touch use natural. Its main strength is simple, purpose-built protection for a popular tablet model. The limitation is that it is not a full rugged case, so edge and drop protection is still limited.

Things to consider
It helps protect the screen surface, but it does not replace a protective case if you need stronger drop, corner or edge protection.
Device compatibility assessment
Designed for Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5; best suited to that specific model rather than mixed-device households.
Travel friendliness score
8/10 - slim, lightweight protection that is easy to live with on the go, though it does not add drop protection on its own.
Work/study enhancement rating
7/10 - helps keep the screen cleaner and more protected for regular reading, note viewing and browsing during study or work.
Durability vs style fit
Leans toward practical durability, with a minimal look that keeps the tablet’s original style largely unchanged.
Key benefits
- Tailored Fit: Made for the Samsung Tab A8 10.5 so it aligns with the tablet screen more neatly than a generic protector.
- Scratch Protection: Helps reduce everyday surface scratches from bags, desks, keys and regular handling.
- Touchscreen Support: Preserves a natural touch experience so tapping, swiping and scrolling still feel familiar.
- Display Clarity: Adds protection while keeping the screen easy to view for reading, browsing and streaming.
- Smudge Reduction: Helps limit the look of everyday fingerprints and marks compared with an unprotected screen.
- Low-Profile Design: Adds a protective layer without making the tablet noticeably bulky for daily use.
- Family-Friendly Protection: A useful first layer of defence for shared tablets used by kids and adults at home.
- Travel Convenience: Helps protect the display from scuffs during commuting or when packed in a backpack or sleeve.
Q: Will this screen guard fit other Samsung tablets or older Tab models
A: No. Cygnett CY4011CPTGL is made for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5-inch 2021 model. It is intended for that screen size and layout, so fit and cut-outs are not listed for other Galaxy Tab models.
Q: Will it stop the Tab A8 screen from cracking if dropped
A: No screen protector can promise to stop every crack from a drop. This one is designed to help against scratches and minor knocks on the display surface, so stronger impact protection still depends on the tablet case and how it lands.
Q: Is this a tempered glass protector or a flexible film
A: This protector uses Japanese tempered glass, not a thin plastic film. That gives the screen a more glass-like feel and helps with scratches and minor knocks, but it is still not a substitute for a protective case.
Q: How thick is the Cygnett Tab A8 screen protector
A: Cygnett CY4011CPTGL is 0.25mm thick and weighs 41g, so it adds a protective layer without much bulk. That slim build keeps the tablet easy to slip into a sleeve or bag, but it does not add corner protection.
Q: Does the display stay clear after the screen guard is applied
A: Yes. The clear finish is designed to keep the display looking natural rather than adding a tinted, matte or privacy-style layer. Touch input remains responsive for everyday tapping and scrolling after it is fitted correctly.
Q: What comes in the box for installation
A: The pack includes an applicator, microfiber cleaning cloth, alcohol wipe and dust removing tape. Those accessories are there to help with alignment and surface prep, but careful installation still matters because tempered glass is cut for a precise fit.
