Key benefits
- High Page Yield: Prints up to approximately 665 pages, reducing the frequency of cartridge changes.
- Vivid Magenta Output: Produces bright, accurate magenta tones for photos and graphics.
- Easy Installation: Designed for quick and straightforward replacement in compatible Canon printers.
- Genuine Canon Quality: Ensures reliable performance and consistent print quality.
- Smudge-Resistant Ink: Helps prevent smearing on glossy and plain paper.
- Cost Efficiency: High-yield cartridge lowers cost per page compared to standard yield.
- Accurate Colour Reproduction: Maintains true-to-life colours for professional documents and images.
- Low Maintenance: Requires minimal intervention between replacements.
Q: Will this cartridge work in a printer using PGI-650 black ink?
A: No. Canon CLI651XLM fits the magenta slot marked for CLI-651 or CLI-651XL colour tanks. Some Canon printers use both 650 and 651 series, but this cartridge does not replace a PGI-650 black cartridge.
Q: Which Canon printers can use the CLI651XL magenta cartridge?
A: Canon CLI651XLM suits Canon PIXMA printers that accept CLI-651 or CLI-651XL colour tanks, including MG5460 and MG6360. It is not a universal Canon cartridge, so check your printer uses the 651 colour series before buying.
Q: Is the XL magenta cartridge better for regular colour printing?
A: Yes. Canon CLI651XLM is rated to print 665 pages in magenta, so it suits households or offices that print colour documents or photos regularly. If you only print occasionally, a standard-capacity tank may be the more practical fit.
Q: Can this replace a standard CLI-651 magenta cartridge?
A: Yes, if the printer accepts CLI-651 or CLI-651XL colour tanks. Canon CLI651XLM is the high-capacity magenta option for that slot, but it will not fit a printer that uses a different Canon colour cartridge family.
Q: Is this only for magenta, or does it handle other colours too?
A: This cartridge prints magenta only. Canon CLI651XLM is designed for the magenta slot specifically, so it does not replace cyan, yellow, grey, photo black or the PGI-650 black cartridge used in some compatible printers.
