  Stylish and solid but it won’t necessarily last any longer

  My wife and I I first purchased a Breville Luxe kettle in 2019. It’s a well made kettle with quite a few quality-of-life features (360’ rotation, cord storage, bobber-free water level window, micro-mesh filter). With all of that said, it won’t really last any longer than any other kettle. We’ve recently purchased another as our old kettle’s paint discoloured and bubbled with age, the soft top stopped opening, the level gauge rubbed off and bits of the viewing window glass broke off inside the kettle. If you are buying it for its look, feel, and absence of plastic go for it - just don’t expect it to last any longer than a kettle half the price.

  Breville kettle

  Very happy with this kettle, the sea salt colour looks fresh and matches my kitchen vibe. The kettle boils relatively quickly and quietly, it gives a tiny sweet 'ding' when it has boiled. Feels solid and well made, it is heavier than I expected, but I am used to it now. The water gauge window on the side is helpful and I like the 'soft top' feature. My old Breville kettle lasted a long time, quality brand at an affordable price.
