  The Westinghouse Air Conditioner C9.1kW H10.4kW Reverse Cycle Split System is extremely efficient, in terms of electricity, capacity to rapidly cool / warm spacious areas and operate at reasonable decibels. When initial price, installation and insurance, (we opted for 7 years), are analysed, this comes out as a high end product for those on mid-range incomes. We have a large open plan lounge-room / kitchen which our evap. simply can't address, particularly under hot and humid conditions. Or during heatwaves, when one's body is in danger of dissolving into a ball of greasy despair. How often have we suffered through days and nights of sweaty clothes, or multi-layered winter attire, with no relief in sight? Which is why we recently invested in Comfort because, in Western Australia, for half the year residents either shiver or perspire. Who wants to spend six months, of twelve, struggling to complete household tasks; yell at the TV; spend amusing time with dubious members of the family; read subversive literature; watch Smooth Moves on You Tube; concentrate on potential murderers in that Poirot episode you've saved for a literal rainy day; approach Tiddly Winks, as though it's this year's Black Belt championship; conquer the world with your unique strategy during blood-lust SNAP! or argue the political toss without feeling wrung out, or half frozen, until you wait for the roof to explode from the next solar flare or wonder when polar bears will blithely confiscate the duvets......? Should you decide to purchase the above machine, remain assured the unit offers a range of functions; the remote control -- with optional holder, fitted to a wall by the technician -- doesn't require a post doctorate in Astrophysics and the entire unit will look modern, slim-line and in sympathy with your walls, (including external wood, cement render or brick). Fitting time ranges between two and three hours -- not all of that with the electricity cut -- and, if you're as lucky as we were, you will engage with delightful experts -- one of whom has a quintessentially tenor's lilting voice and laugh -- so, worth the purchase just for the free, VERY Australian musical medley and cheeky back and forth -- with complementary giggles -- between 'The Boys'! (Who clean the small, unavoidable mess into a drop sheet, apply THEIR vacuum cleaner and run wipes over the interior unit). Think happy magpies and kookaburras, boots which resound through the ceiling like deeply charming possums and a confidently professional drill, which briefly opens your room to passing clouds before the air con seals it shut. Oh, and to show appreciation, how about a cold ginger beer for each? After all, THEY suffer heat / cold and, actually, risk injury climbing across the roof to make YOU feel better!! Anyway, that's our honest review but you'll only know if this machine is for you if you have it installed. We took the plunge and let the technology tackle summer in its inimitable style. The consequence of this is we often have to switch it off, after about an hour, to wipe the icicles from our eyebrows and stridently greying hair.
