Great value for money
Great value for money, lots of flexibility on the inside so can change the racks around to suit your needs and enough range of cycles to suit individual loads. Very happy with this dishwasher.

Ease of use and value for money
The dishwasher has been the best investment as it saved so much time. The functionality is very straight forward and it cleans well. For half the price of a Bosch, I would definitely repurchase and recommend.

At a glance
This 60cm Westinghouse freestanding dishwasher is a practical mid-range option for families or shared homes needing room for up to 14 place settings. It stands out for flexible loading, quiet 47dBA operation and useful everyday programs including Auto and fast cycles. The main trade-off is its 3.5 star energy rating, which is decent but not as strong as more efficient premium models.
What it’s great for
- Family dishwashing
- Everyday mixed loads
- Open-plan homes
- Rental-friendly kitchen upgrades
- Medium to large households
Where it works best
- Family kitchens
- Open-plan living spaces
- Apartments
- Rental properties
- Laundries
Who it’s for
- Families of three to five
- Shared households
- Busy home cooks
- Renters
- Everyday value-focused buyers
Things to consider
Its 3.5 star energy rating is practical rather than class-leading, so buyers focused on the lowest running costs may prefer a more efficient premium model.
Family use suitability
Well suited to families of three to five thanks to its 14 place setting capacity and flexible internal layout.
Energy efficiency score
6/10 - 3.5 star energy rating and 275kWh estimated annual energy use are solid, but not class-leading.
Ease of loading rating
8/10 - Adjustable top basket and foldable racks make it easier to load tall items and bulky cookware.
Noise level vs category average
7/10 - At 47dBA it is quietly suited to open-plan homes, though not in the ultra-quiet premium range.
Installation flexibility
High - Freestanding 60cm design allows placement in standard kitchen spaces, rentals or laundries without built-in cabinetry.
Key benefits
- 14 Place Settings: Handles larger daily loads, making it well suited to medium to large households.
- Adjustable Top Basket: Makes it easier to fit taller glasses and awkward items without wasting space.
- Foldable Racks: Helps create extra room for large pots, pans and serving dishes when needed.
- Six Wash Programs: Gives you useful cycle choices including Auto, Eco, Fast 30, Fast 58, Gentle and Intensive.
- FastDry System: Helps dishes come out dry sooner, reducing the need for towel drying after the cycle.
- 47dBA Noise Level: Quiet enough for many open-plan homes where lower operating noise matters.
- 5 Star WELS Water Rating: Uses 11.5L per wash cycle, helping keep water consumption in check.
- 3.5 Star Energy Rating: Estimated annual energy consumption of 275kWh offers reasonable running efficiency for a full-size 60cm dishwasher.
Q: Will this dishwasher fit under a standard 60cm kitchen benchtop?
A: Yes, in most standard 60cm spaces. WSF6602XC is a freestanding dishwasher built for a standard-width cavity, so it suits many existing dishwasher spots, kitchens or laundries, but door swing and hose clearance still need to be allowed for.
Q: Does FastDry leave plastic items fully dry after the cycle?
A: No, not always. FastDry helps this dishwasher leave plates, glassware and most everyday items drier at the end of a cycle, but lightweight plastics can still hold some moisture and may need a quick wipe before going straight into the cupboard.
Q: Is 47dBA quiet enough for an open plan kitchen?
A: Yes, for most homes. Westinghouse WSF6602XC runs at 47dBA, which is quiet enough for many open-plan kitchens and evening use, but it is not near-silent, so some sound is still noticeable if you are sitting very close by.
Q: Can the baskets adjust for large pots and tall glasses?
A: Yes. The adjustable top basket and foldable racks make it easier to fit tall stemware, bulky bowls and larger cookware in the same machine. Loading larger items can reduce room for other dishes, so basket setup matters on fuller loads.
Q: How efficient is this dishwasher for everyday family use?
A: WSF6602XC has a 3.5 star energy rating, which is solid for a full-size freestanding dishwasher.
Q: Does this model have app control or smart features?
A: No. WSF6602XC focuses on core dishwasher functions rather than app control or connected features. It gives you six wash programs, FastDry and a child lock, so it suits buyers who want simple operation instead of smart-home integration.
