Does what I needed it to do
Excellent, powerful, I use it for white noise and room circulation. I was considering buying a pedestal fan for the white noise and listening to all samples on the floor, the Vornado came out top - white noise like the ocean. Air circulation is also powerful for a large bedroom. Happy with the purchase

Circulator functionality
Does the job to circulate the air around the room. If you’re planning to use it on the bedside table, please note it can get a bit loud depending on the speed you use.

Pricey but effective fan
Pros: - Great for circulating air around a room - Pushes more air than normal fans - Quiet at low-med speeds - Sturdy and well built Cons: - Doesn't push air anywhere near the claimed 24 metres so doesn't work that well in pushing air from air-conditioned parts of the house to non-air-conditioned rooms - Expensive yet lacks features such as oscillation or a remote - Noisy at max speed

WE HAVE 4 ~~~~ THAT TELLS A STORY !
Worth Every $$ - Pried well Performs brillianntly - Powerful yet so quiet that I sometimes leave the one in my office on all night not realizing I have. We don't have any of the 4 on the floor [as they say you can do] but on our desks it Tilts easily to direct the air where you want it. Hubby took one to work - even with airconditioning he finds the Fresh Air Circulating feels so much better. Comes apart for a Deep Clean [we do this once a year] But just a Dust and Wipe will do. Easily picked up and shifted to another room if needed. One of ours lives at the back of the Cross Trainer on a stool and is a Life Saver. Cannot say enough abou thow much we love our Vornado's. You will not be dissappointed

At a glance
The Vornado Medium Air Circulator is a compact floor fan for bedrooms, home offices and other medium rooms where you want targeted airflow. Its strengths are precise 99-speed control, easy portability at 2.2 kg and flexible multi-directional air movement up to 739 cubic metres per hour. A fair limitation is that its 58 dB noise level may be more noticeable at higher speeds than quieter premium sleep-focused fans.
What it’s great for
- Targeted cooling
- Everyday air circulation
- Bedroom use
- Home office comfort
- Flexible directional airflow
Where it works best
- Bedroom
- Home office
- Study
- Small living area
- Medium room
Who it’s for
- Remote worker
- Bedroom user

- Everyday home user
- Anyone wanting portable directional airflow
Things to consider
It offers strong control and portability, but it does not provide the near-silent operation or extra smart features you may find on more premium specialist fans.
Bedroom quietness score
7/10 - suitable for bedrooms at lower settings, but the stated 58 dB noise level may be noticeable at higher speeds.
Room size suitability
Best suited to medium rooms such as bedrooms and home offices.
Portability rating
9/10 - the 2.2 kg weight and compact footprint make it easy to carry and reposition.
Ease of assembly
Minimal setup required; designed for straightforward everyday use.

- Compact 2.2 kg Design: Easy to move between rooms for day and night use.

Q: Does this Vornado fan oscillate or stay fixed?
A: No. The Vornado 71633DC uses directional airflow with a tilting head rather than oscillation. That suits targeted air movement across a bed, desk or seating area, but it does not sweep side to side on its own.
Q: Will it work in a large open-plan room?
A: No, not as the main fan for a large open-plan space. The Vornado 71633DC is better suited to medium rooms where you can aim airflow at a zone, and it may feel less effective when the area is very wide or open.
Q: Is the 71633DC good for a bedside table?
A: Yes, if you run it at lower speeds. The 23cm fan and compact body suit bedside or desk placement, but noise rises as speed increases, so maximum settings are less suitable when the fan is close to your head.
Q: How loud is this fan at top speed?
A: Vornado 71633DC is rated at 58dB. That is reasonable for general room use, but it will be more noticeable on higher settings in a quiet bedroom or study, especially if the fan is placed close to the bed or desk.
Q: Can you leave this fan running overnight safely?
A: Yes, for normal household use. The brushless DC motor is designed for continuous fan operation, and the 99 speed settings make it easier to dial back airflow for overnight use rather than leaving it on a stronger setting.
