At a glance

It suits renters and homeowners who want simple app control, spotlight visibility and voice assistant support. Its biggest strengths are flexible placement and reduced false alerts, but it is not the best fit for buyers wanting hardwired continuous recording.

Key benefits
- Twin Camera Pack: Covers two separate outdoor zones straight out of the box for broader home monitoring.
- Built-In Spotlight: Helps light up darker areas and makes after-hours activity easier to see.
- Wire-Free Design: Makes placement easier around entryways, fences and other spots without nearby power.
- Dual-Band WiFi: Supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks for more flexible home network compatibility.
- Thermo Sense Detection: Uses heat and motion sensing to help reduce unwanted false alerts.
- Night Vision up to 10 m: Maintains visibility across short-to-medium outdoor areas after dark.
- Two-Way Audio: Lets you speak to visitors or warn off unexpected activity through the app.
- Magnetic Mounting Brackets: Simplifies setup and makes camera positioning easier to adjust.
Q: Does the twin pack need mains power at each camera point
A: No. Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack is 100% wirefree and connects over WiFi, so there is no mains cable at the camera location. Each camera uses a rechargeable battery, so charging remains part of ongoing use.
Q: Can I add a solar panel to reduce battery charging
A: Yes. Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack is solar panel compatible, which can reduce how often the batteries need charging. A solar panel is not listed as included in this twin pack, so treat it as a separate accessory.
Q: Will this security camera work on 5GHz home WiFi
A: Yes. Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, which gives more router compatibility than single-band models. Outdoor performance still depends on signal strength where each camera is mounted.
Q: How far does night vision reach on this camera
A: Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack has night vision to 10 metres, which suits most front doors, small driveways and side paths. If you need clearer coverage beyond that distance, this model is not the best fit for long-range viewing.
Q: Can I speak to visitors through the Uniden app
A: Yes. Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack has two-way audio, so you can talk to visitors or delivery drivers through the app. Clear conversation depends on both the camera's WiFi connection and the phone's data or home internet connection.
Q: How does Thermo Sense help reduce false motion alerts
A: Uniden AppCam SOLO Pro 2K Spotlight Twin Pack uses Thermo Sense detection, which combines heat and movement sensing to help reduce false alerts. It is designed to be more selective than motion-only triggering, but it does not mean every alert will be relevant.
