Amazing Sound in a Small Size
It absolutely exceeded my expectations. The sound is loud, clear, and surprisingly deep for such a compact speaker. Super easy to pair, very durable, and perfect for taking anywhere. The battery life is great and the 360° sound fills the room effortlessly. Definitely one of the best portable speakers I’ve used — worth every dollar!

Will not be compatible with other wonderboom products
I purchased this ultimate wonderboom play as thinking it was a newer model it would pair to my wonderboom 2 but they just cancel each other out. I followed the manufacturer instructions to pair 2 devises which didnt help and I downloaded the wonderboom app but there were no updates for either old or new device. It appears as though unless both devises are exactly the same its not going to work. It works perfectly fine on its own though.

Things to consider
It is built for convenience and durability rather than premium audio performance, so buyers wanting richer sound, newer wireless features, or stronger large-room output may prefer a higher-end speaker.

Outdoor suitability
Excellent for beach, poolside, park, and general outdoor use thanks to its IP67 dustproof and waterproof build.
Battery endurance rating
7/10 - Up to 10 hours is solid for day use, though longer-lasting options exist.
Audio quality score
7/10 - Well suited to casual listening, but not positioned as a premium high-output speaker.
Multi-device compatibility
8/10 - Bluetooth 4.2 with support for up to two source devices at once makes switching users convenient.
Key benefits
- Compact Build: The 0.318 kg design is easy to carry in a backpack or by hand for day trips and casual outings.
- Included Bungee Loop: The built-in carrying option makes it easier to hang or attach the speaker when space is limited.
- IP67 Protection: The dustproof and waterproof design helps it handle beach, poolside, and outdoor use with more confidence.
- Bluetooth Range: Wireless pairing works up to 40 m in open spaces, giving you more freedom to move your phone or tablet around.
- Dual Source Pairing: Support for up to two source devices makes it easier to switch between playlists without fully reconnecting.
- Battery Life: Up to 10 hours of playback supports longer listening sessions between charges.
- Portable Form Factor: Its small size makes it practical for everyday carry, spontaneous gatherings, and travel.
- 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Added warranty coverage offers extra peace of mind for regular use.
Q: Will Wonderboom Play pair with older Wonderboom speakers
A: No. Stereo pairing is intended for two Wonderboom Play speakers. Compatibility with older Wonderboom versions is not listed, so buyers wanting two-speaker playback should plan on using a matching Play pair.
Q: How far can I move from Wonderboom Play before Bluetooth drops out
A: Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Play can stay connected at up to 40m in open spaces. That figure suits clear line-of-sight use outdoors. Walls, furniture and nearby wireless traffic will reduce range indoors or around the house.
Q: Can two phones stay connected to Wonderboom Play at once
A: Yes. Wonderboom Play supports up to two source devices at the same time, so two people can stay paired and take turns playing music. It is made for switching between playlists, not for playing two streams together.
Q: Does Wonderboom Play work with a TV or streaming stick
A: Yes, if the TV or streaming stick can send audio over Bluetooth. Wonderboom Play is a Bluetooth speaker, and a wired audio input is not listed. Devices that only offer HDMI or optical audio are not a direct match.
Q: Is 10 hours enough for a beach day or picnic
A: Yes. Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Play offers up to 10 hours of battery life for music playback, which suits a day trip, picnic or afternoon by the pool. For longer weekends away, plan to recharge it between listening sessions.
Q: Can I clip or hang the speaker from a backpack
A: Yes. Wonderboom Play includes a bungee loop, so it can hang from a backpack, hook or similar carry point while you move around. It is a carry option rather than a fixed mount, so it suits portable use, not permanent installation.
