We had trouble with our wifi for ages as our town doesn’t have great service. We had the tv and iPad buffering in the nights. After months back and forward with the suppliers who said there was nothing wrong in their tests we purchased this router. Too a bit to set it up and change all our equipment to use the router but,now that it is up and running we’re very happy. No more buffering for about a month now. Would Recomended it if you’re having trouble.

I upgraded my nbn from fttn to fttp, my old modem was capping the speed to 200mbps so i bought this after researching then as i set it up it went directly to 500mbps. Also set was very easy from the app and i could even set the wifi name and password to the old modem one so everything like lights, door bell or wofi enabled devices stayed connected without resetting anything. So worked great

This router is easy to setup and use. Consistent and fast connection. I wanted to use it with VPN and it was extremely easy to do so. Good value for money.

I went I store to purchase a modem after my other one decided to give up. Got sold this and unfortunately when I called my internet provider, they advised it was not a modem. I had to purchase another modem and thought I would try this as a wifi extender and to be honest, doesn’t make any differences to the speed etc of our devices. Waste of money i

The Wifi router is easy to install and connect. I bought it to replace my old router which disconnects every few weeks. I like the feature of this router that will identify and connect your devices to achieve the best performance automatically either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz if devices are compatible. I bought this router during special offer and it is value for money.

The TP-Link Archer AX23 is a value-focused Wi-Fi 6 router for small to medium homes that want faster wireless speeds, solid coverage and easy app-based setup. It is well suited to streaming, casual gaming and smart home devices, with gigabit ports and mesh expansion support. Its main limitation is that it is not the best choice for very large homes or advanced users wanting premium multi-gig or tri-band performance.
This router is a strong value option, but premium routers can offer better performance for very large homes, heavier gaming demands or faster multi-gig internet connections.
6/10 - good for small to medium homes, but very large homes may need mesh expansion for more consistent coverage.
Strong - supports Wi-Fi 6 and older Wi-Fi standards, making it suitable for mixed smart home and legacy device setups.
7/10 - suitable for casual to moderate gaming with stable dual-band Wi-Fi and gigabit ports, but enthusiasts may prefer higher-end models.
9/10 - quick app-based setup and simple management make it highly approachable for most households.
A: The Archer AX23 is a router only, not a modem. It connects through its WAN port to an existing modem or your provider’s connection device, so it is not the right choice if the main need is a single box that replaces both.
A: Yes. Archer AX23 is compatible with most ISPs and also supports L2TP and PPTP connection types. It still needs a separate modem or provider-supplied connection device, because this model handles routing and Wi-Fi rather than modem functions.
A: Yes. Archer AX23 supports TP-Link OneMesh and is EasyMesh-compatible, so coverage can be expanded with compatible devices rather than replacing the router. That is useful in larger homes where one router may not reach every room consistently.
A: No. Archer AX23 provides one WAN port and four LAN ports for network connections, but it does not include a USB port. If USB storage sharing or printer sharing matters, this model is not designed for that type of setup.
A: Archer AX23 includes parental controls with URL blocking, profile management and pause controls. That suits basic household access control from the router, but it is not the same as full device-by-device monitoring software on each device.
A: Yes. Archer AX23 supports previous 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, so older phones, laptops and smart home devices can still connect. Those devices will use their own older Wi-Fi standard, so they will not get the full benefit of Wi-Fi 6 speeds.
