Pleasure to iron
I have wanted one of these irons for years. Went into the Good Guys for one thing and came out with two. I am extremely happy it makes ironing a pleasure, fast and the extra steam cuts through the toughest creases that’s for sure. Should have brought one years ago. One very happy customer. The Beast.
Love using this iron, turns the creases into gone, and steams well just holding the garment up. Don't have to fill water up too often.

Key benefits
- 130 g/min Continuous Steam: Maintains strong, steady steam to help smooth everyday creases across larger ironing loads.
- 560 g/min Steam Shot: Delivers an extra burst of steam for tougher wrinkles in thicker fabrics and household linens.
- 1.2 L Water Tank: Supports longer ironing sessions before needing a refill.
- Lightweight Iron: Feels easier to manoeuvre during frequent use than many bulkier all-in-one steam models.
- Fingertip Controls: Lets you switch between delicate, normal and max steam settings quickly for different fabric types.
- Removable Calc Collector: Helps maintain more consistent steam performance by capturing mineral build-up.
- Vertical Steam: Freshens hanging garments, jackets and curtains without setting up an ironing board.
- Lock System: Secures the iron for safer storage and easier carrying between rooms.
Q: Is this steam station worth it for big weekly ironing loads?
A: Yes. Tefal Pro Express Ultimate is suited to larger baskets because the separate base delivers strong continuous steam and the 1.2L tank supports longer sessions. It is still a steam station, so it takes more storage space than a standard iron.
Q: Can it steam curtains and hanging clothes without an ironing board?
A: Yes. Tefal Pro Express Ultimate has a vertical steam function for hanging garments, jackets and curtains, so quick touch-ups do not need a board. It is best for freshening and crease reduction rather than giving a pressed, flat finish.
Q: Can the steam settings be adjusted for delicate and heavier fabrics?
A: Yes. Fingertip controls let you switch between delicate, normal and max steam settings, so you can lower output for lighter fabrics and raise it for tougher creases. Fabric care labels still matter, especially on heat-sensitive materials.
Q: How does the calc collector help in hard water areas?
A: The removable calc collector captures mineral build-up that can reduce steam performance over time. That makes this model a sensible pick for regular use where scale is a concern, but the collector still needs to be emptied as part of normal maintenance.
Q: Does the lightweight iron make long ironing sessions easier to handle?
A: Yes. The iron itself is lighter in the hand than many all-in-one steam models, which helps when working through shirts, school uniforms or sheets. The trade-off is that the steam station base still needs bench or board space beside you.
Q: Is it easy to carry and store after ironing?
A: Yes. The lock system secures the iron to the base, which makes carrying and storing the unit safer between uses. It is practical for moving around the home, but its steam station format is better for storage than for travel.
Q: Is the 1.6m cord long enough for most laundry setups?
A: Tefal Pro Express Ultimate has a 1.6m cord, which suits many ironing boards set near a power point. If your outlet is farther away or awkwardly placed, a steam station like this is less flexible than ironing right beside the wall.
