Great dishwasher
This is the first time I have purchased a dishwasher. I moved into a rental that didn’t have a space for a dishwasher but this was so easy to set up in my laundry. I was really surprised with how well it washed a full load on the first try. I was actually expecting to have to hand wash some items on run it again but it all came out clean

dishwasher review.
We have found the dishwasher to be quite flimsy compared to our old one. The door is very flexible. The bottom draw is a bit of a pest to roll in and out as it comes of the track very easily. It seems to wash well . Which is the main thing. For the price it is ok.

Things to consider
At 52dB, it is practical for everyday use but not as quiet as premium dishwashers designed for very low-noise open-plan living.
Family use suitability
8/10 - 13 place settings and versatile programs make it well suited to daily family meal clean-up.
Energy efficiency score
7/10 - 3 star energy rating and 4.5 star WELS with 11L per ECO wash make it a sensible efficient choice for its class.
Ease of loading rating
7/10 - the 13 place setting capacity is practical for everyday loading, though no advanced rack flexibility is specified.
Noise level vs category average
6/10 - 52dB is acceptable for everyday use, but louder than quieter premium dishwashers often preferred for open-plan spaces.
Installation flexibility
Freestanding 60cm design suits many standard kitchen spaces and is easier to place than a built-in model.

- Five Wash Programs: Lets you choose the right cycle for cookware, glasses or lightly soiled dishes.
- Extra Dry: Helps improve drying results on harder-to-dry items like plastic containers and lunchboxes.
- Half Load: Useful when you need clean dishes sooner without waiting to fill the machine.
- Delay Start 3/6/9/12 Hours: Adds flexibility so you can schedule cycles around your routine.
- 4.5 Star WELS Rating: Supports lower water use with 11L per wash on the ECO program.
- 3 Star Energy Rating: Offers a solid everyday efficiency level for a value-focused full-size dishwasher.
- Child Lock Option: Adds peace of mind in homes with young children.
Q: Is 52dBA quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen or evening use?
A: Yes. A 52dBA dishwasher is generally quiet enough for day-to-day use in open-plan homes and for running after dinner without dominating the room. It is not ultra-quiet by premium standards, but it should sound more like background appliance noise than a loud wash.
Q: What does 13 place settings mean in real household use?
A: A 13 place setting capacity suits many small to medium households and is usually enough for a family meal’s plates, bowls, cups and cutlery in one run. Larger pots and platters take more room, so actual capacity depends on how bulky the load is.
Q: When is the Half Load function most useful on this Solt dishwasher?
A: Half Load is most useful when the dishwasher is not full but you still want to wash sooner rather than wait for more dishes.
Q: Does the Extra Dry function help with plastic containers and lunchboxes?
A: Yes. Extra Dry can help improve drying on harder-to-dry items like plastic containers and lids, which often hold moisture longer than plates or glassware. Drying results still vary with load layout, so deep plastic items may need a quick wipe before storing.
Q: Is the Glass program a better choice than Rapid for fragile glasses?
A: Yes. The Glass program is the better option for delicate stemware and everyday glasses because it is designed for gentler washing than a fast cycle. Rapid is more suited to lightly soiled items when speed matters more than the extra care glassware usually benefits from.
Q: Can the delay start be used for overnight or off-peak washing?
A: Yes. This model has 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour delay start options, so you can load it earlier and set the cycle to begin later in the evening or overnight. That can help fit busy routines, especially if a quieter 52dBA wash level matters in shared living areas.
