It works
We have used it once as we are a small house hold so it will only be used when people visit.

Happy with purchase
Does a great job of washng and drying the dishes, I had to move the top rack up because the spinner on the bottom of it was hitting the plates in the bottom rack, it was good that you can do this. Inner components are a bit rickety and flimsy and the bottom drawer comes of it's track very easily. But for a dishwasher under $400 it's pretty good. Dries better than my old one did and that cost more than double this one.

Could be better
This item cost $100 more because of its colour. I didn't want this particular machine but my first 2 choices were out of stock. I guess it washes the dishes, so it does what it's designed to do. As a brand I do prefer Solt. And will buy another Solt when this one has washed it's last dish. I just don't love this particular item, it was more expensive and holds less items.

Its 12 place setting capacity, adjustable upper basket, removable cutlery tray and half load mode make everyday cleanup easier. The main trade-off is that at 52 dB, it is not as quiet as some more premium dishwashers.

Things to consider
It offers practical core features, but it is not as quiet or as feature-rich as premium models with lower noise output, advanced drying systems or smart connectivity.
Family use suitability
7/10 - good for small to medium families thanks to 12 place settings and flexible loading, but larger households may prefer more capacity.
Energy efficiency score
6/10 - ECO and half load modes support lower running use on suitable cycles, but no verified energy star rating was provided for this model.
Ease of loading rating
8/10 - the adjustable upper basket and removable cutlery tray make it easier to fit mixed loads and awkward items.
Noise level vs category average
6/10 - at 52 dB, it is acceptable for everyday use but louder than quieter mid-range and premium alternatives.
Installation flexibility
Freestanding format offers straightforward placement in most kitchens with suitable water and drainage connections.
Key benefits
- 12 Place Settings: washes a full day’s dishes for a small to medium household in one cycle.
- Height-Adjustable Upper Basket: makes it easier to fit taller pots, plates and glasses when load sizes change.
- Removable Cutlery Tray: gives you more flexibility to organise utensils and free up space for larger items when needed.
- Multiple Wash Programs: includes Intensive, ECO, Glass and Rapid options so you can better match the cycle to the load.
- Half Load Function: helps reduce water and power use on smaller loads compared with running a full standard wash.
- 52 dB Operation: keeps wash noise at a moderate level that suits general household use.
- 24-Hour Delay Start: lets you schedule cycles around your routine or run loads later in the day.
- Child Lock: helps prevent accidental program changes during a wash cycle.
Q: Is 52dBA quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen?
A: Solt GGSDW6012GB runs at 52dBA, which is moderate rather than especially quiet. It should be fine for most daytime use, but in an open-plan room you are likely to notice it more than a quieter dishwasher.
Q: Will it handle dinner plates and taller pots easily?
A: Yes. The height-adjustable upper basket gives more clearance for taller plates, serving dishes or pots below. The trade-off is less room in the top section once the basket is moved, so some loads still need a bit of planning.
Q: How well does it clean heavily soiled dishes?
A: It is built for everyday loads and includes an Intensive program for tougher mess. Very baked-on food or heavily soiled cookware may still need pre-rinsing or a longer cycle, which is a common trade-off with entry-level dishwashers.
Q: Does this dishwasher dry plastics completely after a cycle?
A: No. Solt GGSDW6012GB can leave some water on lighter plastic items after washing, even when plates and glasses come out drier. Using rinse aid can help with final drying, but plastics usually hold droplets more than ceramic or glass.
Q: Is it a good dishwasher for a small household?
A: Yes. A 12 place setting capacity is workable for a couple or small household, especially if you prefer running fewer, fuller loads. The half load function also makes more sense when the machine is not filled after every meal.
Q: Can I set it to start later at night?
A: Yes. Solt GGSDW6012GB has a 24 hour delay start, so the wash can be scheduled around your routine. That is useful for overnight runs or off-peak times, although 52dBA means it is not the quietest option for nearby living areas.
