  Good at cooling, but louder than claimed

  Solt claims this product runs at a max of 52dB. On the lowest fan setting, I register 60dB, sometimes more, and there's no quiet setting. That's still less than some competitors claim is their max dB, but I purchased this for the fact that it claimed to be quiter than the others. The compressor vibrates a fair bit, and even though it has been isolated, that vibration is loud. I will be looking at other options to see if there's one that is quieter and returning this if that is the case.

  Perfect for rooms 9-16m2

  We deployed this unit in our open plan living space which is about 50m2 and it works to drop temp in the immediate vicinity (approx 13m2) about 3-4 degrees on a 40+ day with ceiling fans on full speed. We also used in our bedroom (approx 16m2) and it was very efficient on cooling the space to 22-24 (set at 17) degrees on a 35+ day. The noise level is reasonably loud but not unexpected for a unit such as this. Overall a very useful unit for smaller areas. Please note we have an older house with poor insulation and this would greatly effect overall performance.
