At a glance
The Skullcandy Hesh ANC Headphones are wireless over-ear headphones built for everyday listening, commuting and travel. They suit people who want active noise cancelling, long battery life and easy controls in a lightweight fold-flat design. Key strengths are 22-hour playback, rapid charge and practical comfort. One limitation is that the noise cancelling and sound experience are not aimed at premium audiophile-level performance.

Things to consider
Compared with premium noise cancelling headphones, its ANC and overall sound refinement are better suited to everyday use than specialist listening or top-tier travel performance.
Noise cancelling effectiveness
7/10 - The 4-mic ANC system should do a good job reducing everyday background noise, but it is not positioned as class-leading premium ANC.
All-day comfort score
8/10 - The 0.228 kg weight and over-ear design make it a strong option for extended casual listening.
Commuter suitability
8/10 - Fold-flat portability, ANC, Bluetooth 5.0 and rapid charging make it practical for daily travel.
Audiophile vs casual fit
Best for casual listeners who want convenience, comfort and noise reduction rather than premium audiophile tuning.
Multi-device flexibility
7/10 - Bluetooth 5.0 gives broad compatibility with modern wireless devices, though no advanced multi-device switching is specified.
Key benefits
- Active Noise Cancelling: A 4-mic ANC system helps reduce background noise for more focused listening and clearer calls.
- 22-Hour Battery Life: Up to 22 hours of wireless playback supports full-day use between charges.
- Rapid Charge: A 10-minute top-up provides about 3 hours of use when you need a quick boost.
- Bluetooth 5.0: Delivers a stable wireless connection for music, video and calls with compatible devices.
- Lightweight Build: At 0.228 kg, it helps reduce fatigue during longer listening sessions.
- Fold-Flat Design: The earcups fold flat so the headphones are easier to pack for work or travel.
- On-Ear Controls: Lets you manage playback and calls without needing to reach for your phone.
- Over-Ear Fit: The full-size design is well suited to longer listening sessions at home, at work or on the move.
Q: Will the noise cancelling block all office and plane noise?
A: No. Skullcandy Hesh ANC uses a 4-mic active noise cancelling system to reduce steady background sound, but it will not remove every distraction or create complete silence. Voices, sudden sounds and some higher-pitched noise can still come through.
Q: Can Hesh ANC connect to more than one device at once?
A: Bluetooth 5.0 supports wireless pairing with compatible phones, tablets and laptops. Multi-device switching is not listed for Skullcandy Hesh ANC, so changing between devices may mean disconnecting from one before pairing with another.
Q: How clear are calls on these in noisy places?
A: Skullcandy Hesh ANC uses a 4-mic system to support clearer voice pickup for calls while reducing some surrounding noise. It is well suited to everyday calls in offices or on the move, but very loud environments can still affect call clarity.
Q: How quickly can these headphones recharge before heading out?
A: A 10 minute rapid charge gives about 3 hours of use, which is handy if the battery is low before work or travel. For longer listening, a fuller charge is still the better option, especially if active noise cancelling will be used regularly.
Q: Are they comfortable enough for longer daily listening sessions?
A: Yes. Skullcandy Hesh ANC is an over-ear design that weighs 228g, which helps keep it manageable for longer listening at home, work or on trips. Fit can still vary by head shape, so comfort will not feel exactly the same for every wearer.
Q: Do these pack down well for commuting or flights?
A: Yes. Skullcandy Hesh ANC has a fold-flat design, so it sits more easily in a bag than bulkier fixed-shape headphones. It still remains an over-ear model, so it takes more space than earbuds and is better suited to a backpack or carry-on bag.
