Shark Navigator Pet with Self-Cleaning Brushroll
Easy to push around the house, but I am still getting used to the rotating head. My other vacuum cleaner didn't move, it was fixed. Having a moving head does get into more nooks and cranny's. easy to empty dust out and has a long cord which is a plus.

Best Vacuum Ever
This is the best vacuum I have ever bought. The chord is super long. In saying that its a blessing and a curse haha. If only there was some type of hook for it but that's a minor thing. I thought my carpets were clean till I used this. OMG the dust it tucked up was a shock. For me, and again this doesn't take away the 10/10. Its quite heavy but Im also very small. My sister bought one before I did and says exactly what I have just. BUT, we both love live love it. Best vac ever

UNREAL MATE
This vacuum is fricken awesome!! It's suction is fantastic, most definitely the best vacuum I have ever owned. I have a long haired border collie who leaves mountains of fur everywhere she goes and this vacuum can handle it without a worry. The cord (granted) is a tad annoying but not where I would rate this down, it's just great and I would purchase this all over again.

At a glance
The Shark Navigator Pet with Self-Cleaning Brushroll is a corded upright vacuum built for pet hair, everyday dust and multi-room cleaning across carpets and hard floors. It suits households wanting strong suction, HEPA filtration and a larger 1.6 L bin without moving to a premium price tier. Its main limitation is that the corded upright format is less compact and convenient to store than stick vacuums.

- Whole-home cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Hard floor cleaning

Who it’s for
- Pet owners
- Families
- Allergy-conscious households
- Everyday home cleaners
- Buyers wanting a corded upright vacuum
Things to consider
It offers strong corded cleaning performance, but compared with premium or specialist models it is bulkier to store and lacks the grab-and-go convenience of a cordless stick vacuum.
Pet hair performance score
9/10 - strong suction and a self-cleaning brushroll make it highly capable for lifting pet hair from carpets, upholstery and hard floors.
Allergy suitability
High - HEPA filtration and Anti-Allergen Complete Seal help contain 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum.
Multi-surface versatility
8.5/10 - suitable for hard floors, tiles and carpets, with tools included for stairs, furniture and edges.
Ease of storage
Moderate - upright design stores vertically, but it is less compact than smaller cordless or handheld options.
Key benefits
- Self-Cleaning Brushroll: helps reduce hair wrap, so pet and long hair are easier to manage with less brush maintenance.
- Anti-Allergen Complete Seal with HEPA Filter: traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum for cleaner exhaust air.
- 960 W Motor: delivers strong suction for embedded debris, carpet cleaning and stubborn pet hair pickup.
- 1.6 L Bagless Dust Cup: supports routine cleaning with fewer trips to empty the bin.
- Multi-Surface Settings: transitions between hard floors and carpets for more flexible whole-home cleaning.
- 7.6 m Cord: gives extended reach from a single power point when cleaning larger rooms.
- Extendable 3.6 m Hose: helps reach stairs, edges and above-floor areas more easily.
- Included Cleaning Tools: the duster crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool improve cleaning on furniture, corners and soft surfaces.
Q: Is this vacuum too heavy for stairs and frequent carrying?
A: It weighs 7.3kg, so it is better suited to floor-by-floor cleaning than constant lifting. The extendable 3.6m hose and included tools help on stairs, but the upright body will feel heavier than a compact stick vacuum.
Q: Does the self-cleaning brushroll stop long hair tangles completely?
A: No. Shark ZU62 is designed to reduce hair wrap by separating and removing hair as you clean, which helps with pet hair and longer strands. It cuts down brushroll maintenance, but it does not mean the vacuum is maintenance-free.
Q: How far can it reach from one power point?
A: Shark ZU62 has a 7.6m cord and an extendable 3.6m hose, so it covers a useful area before you need to move the plug. That suits larger rooms and edges, though the corded design still means cable management during cleaning.
Q: Will this upright suit a small apartment with limited storage?
A: It can, but the upright format is better for regular whole-room cleaning than very tight storage spaces. Shark ZU62 stores standing up, though the full-size body and cord take more cupboard room than a smaller stick or handheld vacuum.
Q: Can it clean under couches and low furniture easily?
A: It can reach edges and tighter spots with the hose and included tools, but the upright body is not the best shape for very low clearance under furniture. This model is more suited to open floors, rugs, stairs and above-floor cleaning.
Q: Is the dust bin large enough for pet hair cleaning?
A: Yes. The 1.6L bagless bin is a practical size for routine pet-hair cleaning and multi-room sessions without constant emptying. If your home sheds heavily, it may still need emptying during a full-house clean rather than after it.
